pk sucks
shooting percentage sucks

vesey is a better hockey player than gus and it's not close

a 4th line of murray, jost, and rousek is better than any line that involves girgens and okposo

- homiedclown

I think you are right about that. The pk needs something

Ok Boss, you’re not paying attention
Reino blocked (most of) the shot before banking the eng in from long distance

It's time to show Sam Reinhart a little extra love.
An unsung hero for the Panthers throughout Round 1, the high-scoring forward lit the lamp in each of the team's three wins to close out the series. In Game 7, he helped provide some early breathing room by sniping a shot past Swayman's glove to make it 2-0 in the second period. (Vid in link)
That being said, it wasn't just his goals that impressed against Boston.
A good case study for the newfound playstyle of the Panthers, Reinhart also dished out 23 hits in the series, which ranked second to only Bennett (25) among the club's forwards. He also ranked second in faceoff wins with 40, with many of them coming in critical moments.
Despite not always earning headlines, Reinhart's steady play has been huge for the Cats.
"He has an incredible read of the game," Maurice said. "You think about a guy that maybe doesn't get around the ice as fast, but his game just keeps getting faster. He was incredibly effective. There's some grit there. He reminds me a little of Ray Whitney. He's got some bite, but he's very, very bright. He's always impressed me."

BUT, BUT, BUT...I'm a Season Ticket Holder (with hairless chest thrown out on a 5'4" frame,
Lol).
My Fantasy Hockey Magazine from 2017 says he tries really, super-duper hard, and my clueless friends like the loser Buffalo mentality that he tries sovery hard...(frank)s it up, but tries.
Good grief.

I didnt think it was lip service. He was fairly candid with this one and really didn’t do the gee gosh rigamarole that he normally does. Worth a listen but to each his own

God bless her & the family

Thanks for the work you put in

Thanks, Dog (and taco and Boss and others who donated anonymously). I knew this community would come through.

In Sabres news, I think it's fair to say Adams is aggressively hunting for another defenseman based on his comments today. They know they need another guy

1 forword. Malone ufa
All the defense 4 ( as of today)
Both goalie's

From what I see, 28 forwards signed between both, with 4 being UFAs next year. 24 (12/12) signed as of now. This including Savoie as well and maybe someone else who might be loaned back.

Idk, it seems many here have a different perception of the word “grit”, or they seem to equate grit with unskilled. Then it just becomes a stupid round and round argument about hits.
Grit is guys like Tkachuk and Bennett. Grit is holding the puck a heartbeat longer til your teammate is open for a pass, and getting blasted for your trouble. Grit is laying out and blocking a shot in crunch time. Grit is going to net front and taking the abuse that comes with it. Grit encompasses much more than simply “he hits a lot”.
I think most get it, but some seemingly are just stuck with this image of a cement headed knuckle dragger when they hear the word grit mentioned.

This has been explained ad nauseum to that poster and his alt. He hears what he wants to hear. It is what it is.

Best wishes Bradley; your beat starts at a very auspicious time when the Sabres are about ready to begin a decade-plus of beatdowns.

I’ll be particularly interested in your insights/commentary on roster decisions. Trading not-very-good players, or ones that don’t want to be in Buffalo, is easy. (Getting fair returns is another matter, and Adams appears to have aced that test.)

Now, the really hard task of deciding which good players, that want to be Sabres, must be done. I’m encouraging by what appears to be a stealthy-good analytics staff behind the scenes.

Good luck, and go Sabres!
