I still see red when I think of the goalie decisions...

It still hurts to think about. But when you get outplayed and out coached, it kinda is what it is.

Watching Florida play the leafs, ill be the first to admit I didnt give them enough credit. One thing I have noticed they do really well is turn broken plays into scoring chances with short support passing and numbers. Its a simple formula. Working for them right now.

Yeah. I was watching the standings for the last three weeks of the season and was hoping that Florida either fell off or ended up in Carolina. I still thought they would take care of business but potentially leave that series banged up. Florida has a lot of talent and can play a mean brand of hockey when they want. They just couldn’t put it together to start the season.

End of the day. Bruins were already banged up and the pressure that built up over that month did them in.

That Debrusk hand pass overturned call is going to haunt me lol. That moment, to me, changed the outcome of that series.

Could probably point to a dozen or so things that shifted momentum in a particular game. From what I saw though, once the panthers beat the bruins at home the second time, the series was over. They came out the next game and were not playing the brand of hockey they had been all year. Monty tweaked the lines, but that shouldn't have mattered. They won just fine without Bergy and Krejci and with lines jumbled. They got out worked, and the panthers continued to ride the momentum to the series win.

Injuries aside, if they played the brand of hockey that won them the presidents trophy, you could speculate that there may have been a different result. But that isnt what ended up happening so we get to ride the pain. Its going to hurt worse if Bergy and Krejci call it quits too. We will see what happens there.

I still don't believe it was a hand pass. According to the Rule it's illegal if you direct the puck. He didn't do that from what I could see.

"Play will not be stopped unless the player has directed the puck to a teammate in the neutral or attacking zone with the hand"

So unless they are calling it differently from the actual rule book it seems wrong.

I have little doubt Krejci is done. Bergy, I think will be back unless the back is more problematic than we hope. I think Krejci's family situation is such that it will be too difficult to be worth it. Bergy won't want to go out this way and let's not forget next year would be his 20th and the Bruins 100th...what a way to go out regardless of the outcome.

Hope you're right on Bergy. Seen some pretty wild trade rumors already for the Bruin's off season. They will be right up against the cap. I expect to see more youth in the lineup next year regardless.

A LOT of speculation around Ullmark. Financially I guess you can make the case, but for the most part I have a really hard time seeing the Bruins part ways with him. Got a little anxiety ahead of free agency wondering what is going to happen.

If Bergeron truly has a herniated disc, I think he should call it day. I get not going out like that but almost everyone doesn't get to go out on their terms like Recchi did.

Yeah those kinds of injuries are no joke. I appreciate everything Bergeron has given to the organization, but gotta think about long term health too. You have a life outside of hockey after this to think about too.

Even if he does retire from playing, I have a feeling Bergy will try to stay with the organization somehow. Would love to see him bring his leadership abilities to player development or coaching. Could do young players well to learn from him.

Couldn't agree more! I think it's timing. Do you get that procedure at 27 years and get back out there? Yup sure do. Leaving millions of dollars on the table otherwise but at 37? Oof.

Hope for his sake 1st that's true. If he does have some left to give. Next question is how in the actual (frank) do they afford to sign him?

Same way as this year. Low base (possibly even lower?) with incentives that will fall to the following season which is scheduled to have a good jump in cap due to the escrow issue going away.
