Just did some research, boiler and elbows are correct. Sorry guys, you 2 were correct. - ChicagoHope
Haha. i thought he was a UFa, too. |

Paul, I agree with you but think RainMan's argument has some merit just that the timing is off to get loced into a Matthews type too early. He'd probably be 30ish when the Hawks start to make a push and have developed enough players in the system to make a difference.......... Plus, there is no way of knowing what kind of player(s) will be needed as the final piece.
But until then I like Domi, Bunting, Hathaway, Reeves type players to add some skill for Bedard to play with and some muscle to do some policing. - Mr Ricochet
Yes please

I love it, it's going to take us forever to rebuild. The hockey Gods award us with the 1st pick of a generational player=we can't wait for anyone to develop and we got to sign premium FAs now. As Tom Waddle says slow your roll guys. We don't even know what we got in last years draft, we haven't even drafted this year. Sheesh - BetweenTheDots
One FA. One young enough to still matter in 3-4 years. |

I don't think Stutzle, Hughes or Beniers is available. That young fine

May want to check out the average ages on Cup winners. They need some older guys who can still play to show the way. Kinda like the roles Lang and Havlat played early in Kane/Toews careers. |

I was thinking the same thing
Bring in Domi and AA again - BetweenTheDots
Bringing Domi back makes sense, I hope KD at least give it serious consideration. I wouldn’t be surprised to see AA back on another 1 year deal. |

Tyler Bertuzzi?
J.T. Compher? |
|
|

Does Bedard have an agent yet? If not, wouldn’t be surprised if he winds up with Brisson. |

Just read this on the Hockey Royalty (Kings) blog. Very interesting proposal.
Chicago Trades: Mrazek, Blackwell
Kings trade; Peterson, high level prospect, second round pick.
I would make that trade. |

Wow Toronto actually sacrificed the body to win a playoff game. |

J.T. Compher? - boilermaker100
Both would be fine on 3-4 year deals at the most. Compher more than Bertuzzi for me only because Bertuzzi gets hurt alot. |

Has to be a real high level prospect cause that Campbell contract is horrible and they need the cap space to keep a couple of guys.

Kings aren’t a high level contender and are already having cap challenges. This is why it’s imperative the Hawks don’t go on a spending spree with all their cap space. |

Well, they need to spend roughly 20M just to get to the floor for next season and after next season they have like 3 guys under contract at the moment. Signing guys for 3-4 years is the sweet spot. |

Bucci is much better as a host than PBP guy. The guy loves hockey so much he is good to have on the broadcast. |

I would make the trade too, but would LA? Trade is cap neutral for next year. It won't help the Kings cap situation til the following season.

It is all about Petersons contract that the Kings want to offload. Appears the Kings are not looking to resign Korpisalo. They have no room for all the RFA’s they need to sign.
The goalies next year would be Copley and Mrazek.
Of course another rumor is Kings are calling about Hellebuyck
It is a blog, there are better Kings blogs so wouldn’t hold much credence to it. |

They missed signing Peterson to a long term deal thinking he was going to be a new number one. They would have no issues if Peterson worked out. They still have too many prospects and not enough slots. Turcotte is almost an after thought now. |

Sure, as long as the prospect is Brandt Clarke. |
