I agree.
They will stay in Arizona for at least a few more years, mostly because they do not want to waste a market that could bring in mega money with any future potential expansion plans (enough teams already, but money talks).
I do not see a team back in Quebec unless there are 2 more expansion teams come and the move of the Arizona franchise. - Mashadar
There’s no option that allows them to stay for just a few years. If they want their own arena they’ll need to identify space, work up a proposal, bring to the city council wherever that is and, if approved there, go through another referendum. That’s 2-3 years before building could start. The PA (conditions at Mullet Arena) and other owners (lost revenue while they play there), won’t agree to that. The real real option for staying is if the Suns’ new owner buys them and he would have to renovate their arena space which was just renovated

False.
They have a deal in place to use the current 4500 seat arena for a few more years.
Are they really gonna tolerate that for another year? - Scabeh
the NHLPA will not be ok with their players and their family to move on short short notice this year. I say they play at the Mullet next season and plan a move for next year, would also be cheaper to break the lease with 1yr left instead of 2

I thought that is where the devils came from... - Pat1993
the devils rose from a factory-and-airport-polluted swamp called northern new jersey.
fun fact (so fun!): one of the theories about what this mythical new jersey devil that people were writing about back then was, was that they were writing about the horrible mosquitoes in new jersey. especially back then before it was all developed and everything was forests with rain water settling on the ground and all. they were the devil to them! a scourge!

There's just no way the owners and the PA accepts that, I agree with you. - Scabeh
they've been accepting the situation for quite some time now already, I don't get why they wouldn't have interjected before if they had the intention of doing so.

they're still really bad in new jersey. you can't go near some lakes in the summer time. they will suck every last bit of blood out of you and your last bit of energy before you die will be used scratching your bites.
just to be clear here, if you need a rebuild.... it's A- because you're at the end of a cycle and won the cup more than once, let say like Chicago. right?
or B- because you missed the playoffs so many time the past 10 years, going nowhere, drfat like poop... might as well scrap it and start over again.

we have a pretty awful mosquito season in Quebec as well, depending on where you go.
