I honestly think quennville is going to go to Toronto. Then once Keefe is fired he will come to the rangers. Totally fine with it |

We don’t want a guy with a .612 or .608 NHL win percentage behind the bench because they are bad men?. Maybe that’s why they win!! - Slimtj100
Gallant had a .662 win percentage with the Rangers and we were mostly all on board with getting rid of him. It's almost like there is more to it than numbers |

Yeah that is what I was implying. Freidman has hinted his team is leaning towards asking for a trade. |

There are flaws to every coach and the reality is we have no idea who’s a good one or bad one. Babcock has a .608 winning percentage, but he’s a dooshbag. So what, he wins hockey games. Keenan was the ultimate dooshbag and look we he did. I’d take Babcock and make of the players for wanting GG gone, I’d say I hope they’re happy now.
They wouldn’t be lazy I can tell you that - Slimtj100
Do we want to hire a new coach every 2 years? We need some stability where the coach develops our younger players but also works well with the older players.

On Q specifically I think it matters. Babcock I could get off of it. Quennville is a great coach imo. He has the skeleton in the closet obviously, but imo he served his time. Florida didn’t want to let him go but they had to. And again, I think the last thing he’d do is get in trouble for anything after all that bad pr he got, and especially now if Bettman oks his return. If people don’t wanna forgive him be my guest, but I want a coach who wins games and he may be the best out there at doing that |

I didn’t want to fire GG lol I know and I agree. But you could say any coach could be fired after two years, Knob included for example. I just think at this time the org needs an established WINNING coach |

We won't agree on this and that's ok. Coaching in the NHL is a privilege and he lost that privilege IMO. You can say people deserve second chances but I think that's situationally dependent. Teachers that bang their students do not deserve second chances at being teachers. People that are in positions of power over kids trying to fulfil their life dream that take advantage of those kids or cover up those that do don't deserve a second chance. That's not to say he shouldn't ever have a job again, but he shouldn't be put back in the same exact position less than two years after he got caught.
I agree he's a great hockey coach and we both want the Rangers to win, but that doesn't make him a good person or leader. We talk all the time about how the Rangers need to be better at developing their prospects, I'm not sure how hiring him helps. There are other options. |

He wrote a recommendation letter for a person who would go on to sexually assault a 16 year old. After he knew about said person sexually assaulting one of his players. Nothing says quality coach like that. Couldn't think of anybody better tbh.

I'd rather see the Rangers hire Jack Capuano and them go 0-82 than have to look at Joel Quenneville. JQ is lucky he only got fired. Since when did it become normal to gloss over covering up sexual assault and then recommending said sexual predator for a job that is directly involved with children. Explain it to me like I'm a (frank)ing idiot. |

The thing is, if we want an established coach that has won before and has a history of success with multiple teams, why not Lavs (not directed at you)? He doesn't come with any of that baggage and isn't a POS as far as I know.
I understand the group that doesn't want a retread and wants someone new, but for the contingent that wants someone established I just don't get why Q is the first choice (let alone a choice at all). |

If the choice is Quenneville or anybody else, (Including Babcock): I'll take anybody else. What Babcock has done is poopy. He pitted player vs player, not something I want the coach doing. Guess what, that also isn't illegal. Guess what is? Covering up sexual assault. Joel Quenneville deserved way more punishment than just being fired. Enough of Joel Quenneville. Forever. |

Laviolette is the best of the retreads and i wouldn't be upset if that's who they went with |
