Go visit Kick in Muricah and you’ll find out!! - Snots33_77
oh right, generally alcohol has always been way cheaper in 'Murica...

pass.
but that would be the price yes - fidopro
I wouldn’t do that deal even straight up. Pass. I think Dach may have a higher ceiling |

I like Dach a lot, but that would be a really nice surprise for me.
gotta say it wouldn't be a categorical "no" for me for that trade, I'd give it some thought. |

why lose assets when we can sign as a UFA 12 months from now? |

because if a trade doesn't happen with the habs it'll likely happen with another team. I doubt the jets simply let him walk. |

thats the thing, hes a UFA in one season
Habs have Dach under control for a while
where is this coming from? That would be terrible assets management |

Dach seems to be more malleable, he realizes his second chance and has a better attitude. Rather than trading someone of CHaracter for someone who’s been consistently unhappy with 2 different (and challenged) teams.
Just wait 12 months…..why relinquish assets?? Patience is needed….hence the rebuild. |

why? - deadpoulet
the price would probably be a 1st and a prospect (or another pick), basically what we paid for Dach. |

I don't disagree with keeping Dach, but the attitude thing with Dubois has been way overblown. his coach was Tortorella, and now he's in WPG and wants to benefit from being a UFA, like any other player would. I don't see a problem there.

hey, if the habs can magically sign Dubois while losing 0 players, cool, but I doubt things will get there. if it does then it's terrible assets management by the jets. |

they can have the florida first round pick and kiss my ass
if dubois wants to be a Habs, he wont sign for another team. If the does, then (frank) him.
His agent probaly wants to get a better deal for Dubois anyway. How many times have they used this trick? |

Oh, I’m definitely not against getting Dubois. But let’s wait and keep all of our assets AND include this big centre in the future. Patience. This would be premature ejaculation and an unnecessary knee jerk panic move to rush an organic trajectory.
Too soon
EDIT: Plus, he’s only a 60-70 pt centre at this point in time…. We can speculate what he’d be like with Suzie and Caufee (see what I did there) |

I'm fine with this assessment, I like where this group is going. I think I'd be also fine if management deemed that the timing is right and there's a decent deal to be made, since Dubois is still young and would fit in rather nicely imho.
