The going rate for a 2nd pair RHD is now set at 3rd rd pick.

I've kinda turned on him, however, he's not as bad as he's made out to be. His conditioning is poor and he needs to be better defensively but his offense is still there even if he's passing more than scoring.

Going rate for defenders now a day is sickening. A 2nd pairing defender is now 6m a year. Pretty much the same as the low end of a top line forward.

Damon Severson just signed 8 years 6.25M AAV

Scratch that option off the table.

Glad he’s gone 👍

Now they can focus on drafting and developing their own.

The haters are afraid to go there, plus they have a smaller audience.

So they inundate us with their garbage in here. Selfish

Rick D. said that Schenn looking for a bump and pay and term. He's 33

Plus Brad T. tried to acquire him at the TDL in Calgary (which is hilarious because he ended up with Stecher instead).

I am more interested in Juulsen than Schenn for a bottom RHD (cheaper). I know I have to let go of Burroughs also but I liked his heart and willingness. That is who I would carry as the 7 and 8 D.

CBJ are certainly active even if you don't like the signings. Need to see how it plays out.

They're probably going to take Leo Carlsson 3rd overall and have not a bad team. Some good young talent they've quietly collected.

He needs to improve more.

On UFA D's I wouldn't mind...

Mathew Dumba, Carson Soucy, Radko Gudas (cheap), Luke Schenn (cheap).

They should take him but if they are in a win now mode then who knows what they will do. I still say it's Columbus, and no one wants to be there. They remind me of the US version of Winnipeg.

How long until you add CBJ to your list teams?

I would like to keep away from all of them and trade our 11 th for a further developed Dman.

Not going to get anything better than that.

Wolanin should get a shot as the spare LHD unless Bones beats him out.

I don't think they are in a "win now" mode as far as winning the Stanley Cup, they are however in a be more competitive mode because in a gate driven league they need fan interest to turn a profit. Which means they need to be more competitive on the ice.

CBJ was injury riddled & also underachieved in a tough division. Lots of teams to climb past. Canes & NJD are locks imo.

They're not trading the pick, they need to build depth within the organization at both center and defense. Unless someone throws a no-brainer at them there's very little chance they trade the 11th overall.

Also an option, add someone at the same level as Hronik, so a first may not be enough.

Dumba is slumping & will cost too much. Soucy is a good option with Dunn needing a huge raise. Gudas be fine if Myers is gone. Schenn unlikely to return.
