Doesn't the President create a vision on what he wants? Then have the GM carry out that vision? - hello it's me 2050
Is that what you think the job is or what you want it to be?

wonder how many other teams would have even interviewed "jonesy"...gonna go out on a limb and say zero - hello it's me 2050
None, he only interviewed for this because someone in the Flyers suggested it to him. He said he'd only do this for the Flyer, otherwise he'd still be on TV.

You dont get the negativity? are you new to this site? lol People complain here, same complaints over and over for some reason. It would be fun to see a tracker how many times mjl bashed RR and Torts. Rinse and repeat, he brings nothing new of substance to the convo.
I dont have any issues with what Jones is doing at all. I will judge later when there are results from his actions. - bradster
Yeah wouldn't it be nice if people actually truly judged by results.
Instead we have prospects that are pre-judged before they play a game depending on an article that was written than they just fit their narrative around what they see or don't see. We have clairvoyant dinosaurs that know how a player, coach, GM or owner is going to do because "the past". If they predict correctly then you get an EkCoin....whoops.
Take that away and this board has nothing to contribute in the comments.

Rinaldo, you really try that hard to be so negative all the time or is that just natural? |

If the chart is anywhere close to accurate the Flyers have 50% more of their own explayers in the org than any other team. - Flyers_01
And what does that mean?
I looked at the chart and depending on how you want to fudge the numbers you can go in multiple directions. Other than former players in the organization in current positions the other columns are no different than the rest of the clubs.
Former players org? So a player who played their entire career with the Flyers or a player who played 20 games for them and the rest with other clubs?

Could it possibly be that you do not get it?
He has no management experience. He should be getting acclimated with everything that entails don't you think? Submersing himself into hos new role. Nah no need as he is getting a birds eye view. - hello it's me 2050
Certainly no shortage of work for him to do in his new position. I assume he spends a majority of the day on Zoom meetings with the org preping for the draft/FA, then between the benches in the evenings. Dude has always been a grinder with an enviable hustler attitude.
Definitely prefer he wasn't fulfilling his obligations for the playoffs, but I do not doubt his ability to do the necessary work for PoHO simultaneously. |

HeX genious may be understood after he is dead, like Van Gogh. (Sorry Vincent). - THE EVIL WITHIN

What did Mike Tyson say to Van Gogh?
Ans: “You gonna eat that?”

bottom line is the GM has final say, not the president with the flyers

You obviously don't understand corporate structure or what hockey operations is.
I will try to simplify it for you...Jones is not going to say "Hey get faster players" and Danny trades for the fastest players.
He OVERSEES Operations, not crafts his Ultimate Team.
