New Jersey and Florida drivers are the worst. I live in Nashville and this is q culmination of the worst drivers in the country all moving to the same place.
My road rage is off the charts here 𤡠- Bob Habib I think the nod goes to Delaware drivers! Every single time I see someone driving badly (slow and or just dumbass maneuvers) around here it seems inevitable that they will have a Delaware plate! It can't be my imagination!

When I lived in Philly I remember making fun or jersey and Delaware drivers so there is validity to what you say.
Here in Nashville it is literally the worst of the worst all driving the same roads together... 5 under the speed limit in the left hand lane đĄ |

Thus, my road rage.... it happens almost every dingle day here. I have to weave thru traffic every dingle time that I drive
One thing that gives so solace is that I bought something called a Flik for my rear windshield.

Having to cope with 95 and the beltways between DC and Baltimore, Iâd like to throw my hat in the ring for dealing with incompetent drivers.
Flurries make people stop. The rain makes people stop. The sun makes people stop. And snow? Forget it. They donât have yearly inspections, so half of the people are driving on their wear bars. Doesnât help that their snow budget is next to zero, and theyâre reactionary instead of preparing for any type of inclement weather.
Itâs a steaming pile of garbage on the beltways daily. I take the Metro when I can, and between 7-9am and 4-7 pm, I give myself an hour just in case if I have an important appointment if itâs 5mi and I need the beltway. |

Hmmm ...it sort of depends on the scale of their dissidence.
https://data.ovdinfo.org/...time-repressions-report#4
It might not be just the issue of managing to get him over. Multiple possibilities of attritional aggravation by Kremlin after that. Suppose:
1. He comes over, does well, US-Russia relationships worsen further and suddenly, there are 'irregularities' found in his papers causing him to be detained in Russia over xmas break and miss parts of season.
2. He gives a statement not supportive enough of Putin/Orthodox Church. Family back home harassed, his play goes south.
3. He is too supportive of Putin/not critical enough: he is booed at different arenas/questioned by journalists repeatedly, pressure takes a toll, play dives.
4. Sister/cousin/close relative joins dissident group (unrelated to Michkov). Jailed. Mitvai decides he needs to be closer to home to support them and prevent endless hassle of travel bac and forth.
Don't use the time period post 1989 Mogilny to extrapolate to present. Things are far worse now, and will likely get much more bad in the short to intermediate future.
You mentioned that no family lines are being extinguished. But there has been at least 1 report that Michkov's dad was trying to get his son out of the KHL 3 year gig to come over faster when he suddenly died.
Indeed, there are usually 3-4 mysterious high profile deaths involving Russians during a given year.
Now there are many, many more.
EDIT: For xmas, sub any break. Summer/all star etc etc - PT21
Michkovâs dad told his wife he was going out for a bit and was found floating in a pond after he never returned. He apparently had been making overtures that his sons dream was to play in the NHLâŚnot much has been made of the actual events, but Iâm sure EVERY NHL team knows the circumstances behind the âsuddenâ death of his father.
These are F âd up times..things are not normal. We are so lucky to live the way we do. Unfortunately thatâs not the way for the rest of the world.

Lmao! That's awesome! I hate driving so much because of all the a$$clowns on phones, etc. I'm in burbs outside of Philly so luckily, rarely in the city or else I might need the Flik.

I don't know much about him, but definitely wouldn't want the Flyers to pick him, no matter how good he is. As has already been said, there's no guarantee he will ever hit NA soil. It's sad what is going on over there.

I am in the camp of saying no way Jose. The Flyers can't afford to pick a guy that may never play for them after what happened with Patrick. It just can't go down that way. Thanks!

Yeah the beltway sucks thatâs why I try and leave extra early if I have to drive that route. 270 south from Frederick blows as well. Itâs slinky commuting.
Try driving 78 In PA West to East in the construction zone where 50 mph is a suggestion and the big rigs are moving 60 plus.
Iâm driving a billboard so I generally drive the speed limit. I also donât mindlessly cruise the left lanes.
In PA there are stretches of road where I will stay in the left lane because the right lane is in such bad shape it beats the crap out of me. Ford Transit vans loaded with parts, tools etc donât offer a luxurious ride.

won't work out for us this year

Building from the net out is a cliche that can be challenged today. Goalies are unpredictable from year to year. Theyâre voodoo. The Avs won the Cup last year with an average goalie and Vegas is five wins away from a Cup with Adin Hill. The hardest and most important position to fill is 1C. If you have a 1C who can score getting an elite playmaking wing would be next. If your 1C is a true playmaker then you try for a sniper at wing. Then you go for a stud defenseman. Itâs not likely you can get a Makar but you only go for defenseman ahead of a 1C if you get one who can control the game.If you canât then you go for a guy who can log big minutes. Even a 2C should be prioritized before a goalie.
The Flyers are not a swing for the fences organization. Patrick was viewed as a âsafeâ pick. The Flyers probably wonât take Michkov due to risk and him being a wing when they need a 1C or a defenseman. Imo picking #7 with no risk appetite for a Michkov if heâs available means they probably wont get a player as good as Cutter in this draft. Cutter looks like the real deal so thatâs not a bad thing. Just donât pick a bust. Good luck. |

Here is the question. Are Reinbacher or Pellikka #1 NHL defensemen or just the best defensemen in this class?
I tend to believe they are not. Both should be solid top 4's but I don't think we should be using this high of a pick for one of them when the selection of 1st line future forwards potentially available.

THAT is a great point! This is the #7 overall pick and must be the highest impact player available. |

Agreed. Offense sells tickets and will separate Flyers hockey from watching paint dry. Go sexy first, fill the stands, then worry about contending, especially given that the d-man are ranked much lower in this draft |

Might be youâre the worst driver weaving thru traffic like that. What plates do you have? đ
You need to leave the country to find the worst drivers. Try Italy. The craziest experience I had was with an Egyptian guy. No regard for any rules. Full out from the minute we got in the car. U-turns over the median. Actually drove on the sidewalk like in the movies. Crazy. This wasnât a cab driver or something. This was a guy in management at the company I was doing work for. In a tie. Smiling and chatting the whole time.

Anyone see that article in the inquirer about Briere saying heâd be willing to trade Hart? Nothing surprising about that, but the article then went on to say that nobody would be interested in him because of the sexual assault investigation. Is that true? I thought it was fairly well established that he wasnât involved? If no teams would be willing to take a chance in him does that mean the Flyers might be able to get a deal on his next contract? |

Yeah! Try a cab ride in Rome. Rome, where the road signs and signals are mere suggestions. |

Agree with you on this. From all I've read, Reinbacher and Pellikka are projected to be good 2nd pair D. You have to try and get a 1st line forward this year. Next years draft is the year of the Dman. There are 3 RHD projected to go in the top 10 with 2 having 1st pair potential. |

I agree. I donât believe they are worthy of the #7 pick. Feel like the Flyers would be reaching there. Also agree with the other poster about going D for next year, when the prospects are higher on D. |

oddly, I have found Rome to be pretty orderly in terms of cabs and street traffic. The cab stands keep things organized and most drivers are pretty professional.
Compared to Paris. I drove there once and still get anxiety thinking about it. |
