How many teams have the ability to add a 7 million dollar player right now? Who will deal a bunch of assets for a player that will be UFA next season?
The Nylander deal return will be completely dependent on whether or not it allows the team that is trading for him to negotiate a contract in advance.
Stepping away from Seattle, I do think the Hurricanes with Pesce and Toronto are an interesting fit too. - freelancer
Just about everyone can take on 7m in cap right now. |

And Ronnie laughs and hangs up the phone. Can forget Wright or Evans. See Seattle doesnt NEED Nulander and like every other team can just wait. Nobody is backing up the massive payday in assets here. The reality is Leafs arent going to win tryin go trade nylander esp if he wants 10mil on a new longer term deal.
Its an interesting notion with Seattle but not a real fit overall and Kraken arent going to go handing over major assets for Willy Ny. |

If they are set on moving him they should be looking at something like Hanafin (if they want a D) or Debrincat (if they want a different forward). Players in similar situations that they could possibly convince to stay (for less…) |

That’s a good one.
Tell you what, I’ll counter with Dunn for Nylander + a 1st and a 2nd

I’m not even a Leaf fan and this is beyond hysterical 😆😆😆😆😆😆 |

Borgen signed and sealed. 2yr 5.4mil. 2.7 AAV which is great.
Now we just need Dunn |

Lind back in the fold and locked up!! 😍 cheap and a two way deal no less. Nice work there Ronnie!!
Also added Bellemere on a cheap 1yr deal as well. Depth is good. |

And Cale Fleury locked up cheap for 2 yrs now too.
Now can we just get Dunn locked up |

Sounds like business getting Dunn.
Given what Debrincat just got traded for I wonder what Leaf fans think Nylander is worth now…(not that I’d make that trade no matter how “cheap” it was) |
