So how did Wheeler look? Didn't see the game but saw some highlights of him scoring. Think he can keep up?
Could be a steal of a signing. Looking at you Tom...

Solid game. Rangers looked faster, crisper, and more engaged pretty much wire to wire. I know Igor, Panarin, Zib, and Fox get the lion's share of the press, but Kreider is such a solid hockey player. There is nothing the guy doesn't seem to do well. It was preseason and all but, that pick at the blue line and burst of speed to get clear for the breakaway was impressive.

I mean I'm not gonna moan about a pre-season power play. But us birds of feather...

I didn't like it at all but there was what, 2 players normally on PP1 out there?

Honestly, I think his wrist shot is underrated. He's scored with it when on 2 on 1/breakaway a couple of times the last two years.

That's what I mean, it's tough to judge the lack of power play efficiency in game 2 of the pre-season. I'm crazy, but not that crazy.

Man scored 88 goals last two years, has 265 in his career and will likely hit 400 and all we do is put him down

just shifting to the Jets for a second, there was this thing this week where WFAN host Joe Beningo who is as crazed a fan as anyone is a fan of any team on the planet, caused a stir and made Tiki Barber walk off the air for a moment.

But what was more noticeable to me was that Beningo said during the whole ordeal that he was texting Jets coach Robert Saleh after the game, which I found borderline insane.

Look, I know I personally get absolutely insane about the Rangers, irrational, lunatic, all of the above, that would be like Laviolette spending an hour texting me after a Ranger loss, I feel like Beningo to the Jets is essentially me to the Rangers.

It's a big problem if the Jets coach is spending time catering to a maniac fan like Beningo after a game, thats an extreme red flag to me.

He got (frank)ed with Aaron Rodgers getting hurt, but there is no way IMO this guy should last much longer as Jets coach

It's pure lunacy that a coach is talking to anyone other than certain staff, privileged media, or players at any point during the season and/or during their entire employment for an organization in professional sports.

Having an off the record convo in person out in the wild is one thing. Having a written discussion either via personal devices or on a platform is another. Would a pro sports org not have a code of conduct regarding this?

He was doing that before Gallant. Nobody has more tip in goals since 2009-10 than Kreider. He didn't debut in regular season game until 2013...
