Cuylle does something every shift. Could see him sticking around.

meaning we can't afford to keep him up so he'll need to be in HFD

It has nothing to do with $$ they’ll want him to get minutes in hfd if not on the big club

I think even Lafreniere's dad would admit Othmann played miles better than he did last night

I was frustrated with him last night but I am still trying to be patient. It's getting hard.

After going to the game last night I was going to come in here and comment on Laf. Seems as though the total consensus is that his play just looks blah. Sorry guys but I don’t see it with him. I understand the we gotta remain patient and it’s preseason BS. Nothing about his game excites me or makes me say to myself ok he’s extremely skillful in this area. He hustles and tries extremely hard but doesn’t really generate any offense. He just always looks like a step behind everyone else. Regardless of having the #1 pick tag on him. I’m usually pretty level headed and like to stay even keeled but I’m not optimistic in regards to Laf… Kakko on the other hand looks like he’s ready to break out.

I dunno. Think the ship has sailed on 4'10'' Jodi Foster...especially playing as a lead detective.

Super disappointed in his first 2 preseason games. Like you said, a step behind and continues to make questionable decisions. Agree on Kakko, he had a breakaway in his first game and almost had another last night. Thats an element of his game we hadn’t seen much of. He’s just gotta start seeing the puck go in and he could be primed for a breakout.

The result doesn't matter, but last night was a game they played pre January last year. The effort wasn't there and if it was regular season game we'd all be annoyed. But thankfully it's only pre-season.

Laff needs a full season with an actual NHL coach that...well...coaches. He has yet to have that in his first three seasons. It's tough for any kid to learn the NHL game, especially when there is no coach to teach it to him.

He'll be fine once he learns the RW and new system Lav is having the team do.

I didn't/don't want to pile on Laf, but he has to have a breakout year this year, especially if he's in the top 6. If he doesn't I'm not sure he survives his contract here.

I disagree. Besides the first period we carried play most of the time. Forecheck caused problems and created chances

This is year 4 for him. Physically and mentally he looks the exact same. Chytl, Kakko, Miller, Othman, Cuylle all look like they imroved. Laf looks like Yak 2.0. 3rd line player at best currently.

I think Laf is going to get this year to show something and that's it. At this point if you did a total re-draft I doubt he goes in the first round. It's really frustrating to watch him play.

Kakko looks like he's rounding into form and Oth/Cuylle look like locks for next year.

Hopefully Chytil can stay healthy and have a good season. LGR!

That draft was weak. Hes still a top 10 pick. Just a huge fall off after the top 2-3

Byfield hasn’t really found it yet either. Stützle far and away the prize of that draft and doubt he was even considered. Crap luck, but it’s the Rangers we’re talking about.
