maybe to break the curse we need one of these two to give Laf a hummer

I disagree. Besides the first period we carried play most of the time. Forecheck caused problems and created chances

The shot total certainly backs you up on that... and I'm sure the zone time does too. I thought you guys clearly had the better run of play after the first period.

Here’s what we see at the morning skate. A few guys who played last night and will go back-to-back, presumably filling in one more line.

Panarin - Trocheck - Othmann
Vesey - Leschyshyn - Goodrow
Sykora - Rempe - Edstrom

Robertson - Trouba
Lindgren - Scanlin
Harpur - Hollowell

edit: To clarify: Guys who played last night and will be in tonight’s lineup weren’t required to skate today. Not sure who exactly that will be yet, but it’s why this lineup is short a few players.

Laf needs to play every game.

Also, can anyone tell if Laf is at least skating? He sure needs it.

I mean what is the problem there, Rangers and Laf? We can't all notice that and the Rangers and Laf not address it.

I think we are at the point where we are putting him under a microscope and picking him apart for innocuous things. We all just want him to break out and us not seeing those signs is driving us crazy.

That being said, I am going to try and be patient for a little longer. He needs some time with Laviolette before we can actually determine anything. This isn't going to be an over night fix. I really do think David Quinn and Gerard Gallant did nothing to help him improve. I know some of that is on him but neither of those coaches showed any ability develop young players. I feel like Kakko and Chytil somehow managed to develop somewhat in spite of them.

And she is the polar opposite of a great host. I can't understand why she still hasn't been let go. She's objectively terrible at that job.

Lafreniere needs to match the effort Othmann showed last night

The problem with Laf is he that he is thinking and not reacting, Othmann and Cuylle are just reacting while Laf seems to think what he needs to go and then tries to do it, which by then, it's too late. It's the lack of a quick trigger and processing decision.

That is pretty much what many of us have observed about Laf at this point. He is either overthinking the game or something else entirely. I'm not sure what it is. He just doesn't look engaged out there at times. I want to see some emotion from him.
