I hate Tampa but a cheaper solid option makes the most sense though they always over pay too, but Dan Vladar will be the best short term solution because he is a legit 1B goalie

The Sabres should absolutely not pursue Patrick Kane. - pwasil7
Yea...wouldn't want to mess with all that success they've been having without him. I don't see how this would be a negative in any way, unless we're talking signing him for 10 mill for 7 years.

Kane hasn't been part of any successful postseason team in almost a decade. His playing style is 100% offense and 0% defense. Not what BUF really needs right now. Unless he is only coming in on a very favorable one year bonus laden deal, BUF should avoid him.

Hard to blame him for the teams failures. He's not what he was in his prime but still a good player, and won't require any hefty contracts. Would be a great veteran boost to a fairly young team.

BUF already has Tuch and Middlestadt at RW. Both of whom are Hossa in his prime defensively compared to Kane. Tuch is a superior overall player at this point and seven years younger. Middlestadt was at least as good as Kane last season and is decade younger with potential for more upside. Again, unless Kane is taking a one year bonus contract, he is of limited value to BUF.

The Lightning with average to above goaltending will have them leading the division by the time he gets back.
Tampa = Patriots of NHL. Everyone hates them and cant wait for them to fall off...but they won't. - TrueGrit
Sure but for Boston, Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo Vasi going down gives a bit of day light for getting into that 3rd playoff spot. On paper it looks as though TOR and FLA will have 1 and 2

Fair point. I am a bit more bullish on Tampa. Florida has more injury problems on their blue line to start the year. They are a greater risk to start slow than Tampa in my humble opinion.
Boston is done and no real threat. Agree with Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo making a push.
Tampa is better upfront and on the blue line then last year. Their bottom six is as fast and gritty now as it was in the cup years.
Segachev continues to evolve into a Norris trophy candidate, while Raddysh and Perbix prove more then serviceable. They already have Hedman and Cernak.
I believe the Vasi injury actually helps the team, as they start the season focusing on the 200 foot game, which won them 2 cups and got them to a third.
