That’s two former first round RHD’s they’ve waived in the past week. Maybe they just don’t know how to draft… - Chunk
or the kids simply don't have the caliber/strength/heads to be pro players.

Do you mean Connor Sikura? |

I'd rather see Darren Pang and Caley Chelios over Chris Vosters and absolutely any broadcaster ever |

KD should have drafted Danielson #1 overall. Another KD fail. |

I was hoping he'd make it to 19, not even close, though i never imagined Moore making it there.

But, I'm on record as saying Hrabal is the best I've seen come thru the USHL in 15 yrs and that includes Knight/Oetenger and the NTDP. Kid skates near as well as Gajun, is a helluva an athlete himself but plays a fine technical style and the goalie is huge at 6ft 7in. Huge guy that skates as well as most goalies, plays technical and is 6ft 7in??? ..... Sign me up. - Mr Ricochet
I have never thought I know enough of what to look for to decide which prospect goalies have what going for them.
I was liking the kid coming out of the QMJHL, Gabriel D’Aigle ,in 2024 because of his size too, and then I saw him poop the bed on shots that were of his body, which I thought were stoppable.
I also thought going into the 2023 Draft that Hrabel was the guy I wanted. After the Hawks took the kid three inches shorter albeit quicker, I wouldn't let it go and washed all of Hrabal's international games.
He gave up lots of what I thought were bad goals, also many of the same type D'Aigle gave up that looked like stinkers and took his team out.
Thse international players may have a bit more game than the USHL forwards, but he was really less impressive than that one big performance Gajan had against Canada.
You are projecting these kids and Gajan to go to college work on his position and then you still are coaching him up to be a pro.
It will be interesting where each excels...
(Oh, and I am gonna listen to that podcast) |

I just went to watch that link...I didn't realize it was gonna be my old boss Shane Malloy.
I was the Hawk prospect guy for Hockey's future and he took over teh site until the twins who originally set it up a long time ago to follow and find fellow hockey Boyz interested in college hockey, but they were able to sell the site for an incredible boatload of $ and the new people didn't want Shane or me or anybody else there.
The time before last Nashville draft in 2003, we terrorized the prospects / NHl coaches by asking them everything (that they didn't want to answer and had to skirt around.)
Did you know I was on Hockey prospect radio?
It was in the 2008 draft in Columbus. I hadn't seen Shane for awhile and he had cut all his hair and shaved his head.
I am walking the concourse and sure enough next to Upper Deck HC, Sirius radio had a him and partner doing telecast live.
I stood off to the side (not even recognizing him) trying g to figure out, do I know these guys, and while he is talking live, he reaches under the table, and pulls out a third head set/ h=mike waves to me, and tells me to put's on, and he w/o asking me, introduces my ass, as some sort of expert on the hawks drafts and prospects, and leads me to letting the audience hear about some them.
You all know I don't need much into to get going.
I went for what I felt like 15 minutes and could've kept going, but I think he wanted his show back.
I also had some London Radio station call me and they basically made it sound like they wanted to know about DraftSite, but it was a ruse; they knew I was the only one so early taht season to have Mitch Marner going third overall and the talkshow host played devils' advocate, saying, "How could he get drafted so early, he is really small?" of course, I told him, and they clicked me off quick fast. |

The show is on Sirius XM NHL network on the weekends. Usually catch it when I'm out doing my assignments from the misses. Missed the Hawks one, so figured i could find it on Youtube. Guessing we can't find your episode from "08 on Youtube........
Heard them doing the Hrabel / Gajan debate before the draft, that day there were 4 of them on, they were split 2 and 2 about which was the best.

How about we get Jonatan Berggren from wings to play with Bedard.
If this Blackhawk team was just a little bit better up front, I am betting Reichel would be the RW on that line, to me, he would fit that best.

Reichel has played well this preseason and he’s having a great game. Enwistle is playing like he deserves to stay in Chicago. If both Kurashev and Donato aren’t available to start the season then I expect Enwistle will. |

I've had enough of Vosters. I'm streaming the WGN broadcast with Wideman to get actual play by play instead of Vosters' and Chelios' ramblings. |

Although Vlasic is -2, I like him with Jones, as he seems to keep things simple. Kaiser is a talented dman, but he takes some risks that will probably not play well with Jones as his partner. JMHO |

Enwistle and Katchouk have been playing very well together tonight. They could be effective on the 4th line and PK to start the season. |

Smart decision. Tr Murray has good analysis too and works well with Wideman. |

Both Kaiser and KK got the stick lift treatment tonight. Phillips looked good tonight. I thought to a degree all of our dmen looked good, i know it's only preseason but I like the left side of our defense a lot more than last years crew. |

And maybe it as all those Detroit redwoods, but Kaiser looked under 6 feet standing next to, even his teammates.
