Although Vlasic is -2, I like him with Jones, as he seems to keep things simple. Kaiser is a talented dman, but he takes some risks that will probably not play well with Jones as his partner. JMHO - Angotti
I also like him with Jones... |

Reichel has played well this preseason and he’s having a great game. Enwistle is playing like he deserves to stay in Chicago. If both Kurashev and Donato aren’t available to start the season then I expect Enwistle will. - DarthKane
oi never figured Enstwhistle wasn't going to be here at the season start. |

Well Jones didn't do him any favors, and i think Reichel lost his man in his own end. He looked good

Mr R:
Was thinking about your goalie quandary Hrabel still on board when Hawks took Gajan, when I listened to NHL Prospects radio Blackhawks draft review;
https://www.hockeyprospectradio.com/
Scroll down a section, their review of all the teams is there, you have to scroll right a few times to get to Blackhawks.
I found the Arizona one very interesting as well. - vabeachbear
You're killin me, VBB!! These are the kindsa rabbit holes I live for..... Only heard the Hawks and AZ but enjoying these two guys. Love how the guy with the specs talks developmental path but I don't think it's as simple as he makes out.
Thank you for sharing, and Wiz, you'll enjoy the banter. - Mr Ricochet
I noticed before I started listening that Shane did not have Ollie Moore in his 1st Round.
Shane (Vancouver native) also saw Nate Danielson lots, and had him as one of the last first Rounders...
The Point?
I have an idea as to how much I should consider of their / his opinion.
Jason, the evaluator, said doesn't absorb ("needs to absorb...") and stop giving up easy goals from battles in front or opening up his legs enough for pucks to go in.
(That is what I saw in the U-18)
He hit the nail on the head on Daniil But, I kinda was hoping the hawks were gonna at least get a chance to draft him, since he is a long way away, and the fact he is swoop (eg. not a straight line N->S forward, and the disguised lean-in while skating. like applying camophage to where he is really transport the puck to. |

Looking at this list its not like its super detrimental and most of the really good skaters and high end offensive players are in the NHL sooner rather than later.

Cool list. Crazy that Joki is on it!! StanBowPops&McD just couldn't wait on some of these kids.

Where did you see where the 2 hosts list of their draft predictions? I only heard them say it but didn't see a list...... Oh well, I like both guys but as I have always done when I go to the window I bet my own horse not The Forms recommendations. Alert me with new info so I can investigate myself.
And although both had But around 10 I think they shorted him in their analysis. But has crazy quick hands that can dangle the best of em. Can't wait to see what this kid is in 5-6 yrs.
If this beast hits his ceiling he's a 1st line difference maker.

Enwistle and Katchouk have been playing very well together tonight. They could be effective on the 4th line and PK to start the season. - DarthKane
We all saw Katchouk take a noticeable jump 3/4 into last season. Think he has another developmental jump in him this yr?

I've had enough of Vosters. I'm streaming the WGN broadcast with Wideman to get actual play by play instead of Vosters' and Chelios' ramblings. - boilermaker100
Withpoout cable until I was 20 yrs old I listened to a lotta radio and now with streaming and watching jrs along with the NHL guys like me have heard a ton of radio hockey.
I've been beaten down to my standards being I only ask for a PBP guy that has done his homework. Bad personalities can be lived with if they're just competent....... Vosters is an unlikeable fellow and he is lazy coming unprepared. His knowledge of the sport is not good at all. He brings zero.
I don't like Pang either but I've been listening to the opponent's feed since Edzo and Foley were on the Dianna's cookies bs,.
I don't blame Vosters though. It's not his fault he sucks, he just does. I blame the dirty sneakers, rocket scientist, prez of bizness. Woman has zero clue that she doesn't know jack as she makes changes to the booths.
Of the 3, Vosters, I make funny jokes about my height 6 times a game Pang and the Chelios girl I'll take her 100 out of 100 times over those two. Kid has a good hockey mind IMO and a fantastic personality.

Did you know I was on Hockey prospect radio?
- wiz1901
Small world, Wiz. I like the chubby fella with the specs. That Shane?.......... did not know you did hockey radio but it makes sense. Bet they had to yell fire to get you outa that booth!!
Cool story, Wiz.........

Care to project I Phillips future, Mr Richochet? - jhawk59
Phillips had a real nice showing vs NHLers tonight. Kid had 3-4 really nice reads that I'm positive caught the coaches/KD's eyes. Showed his fine open balanced skating and made some real nice turns to defend the rush at the dots.
Kid looked real good. Still wonder if he gets sent back to RKF, and I think he will if for nothing other than a numbers games, if he gets the #1 PP and PK guy and top pairing deployment?
Phillips gets glossed over with Del Mastro, KK, Kaiser and even Allen getting the buzz but who knows. Phillips has a foundation where if he hits his ceiling he'll be a fine NHLer for a lotta yrs.

Foligno had enough of Klostin runnin around. Really appreciate these kinda guys and the Hawks haven't had one for awhile..... And to my eye Foligno has not lost any skating, or not much. He's moving well and is riding his edges.
Going to enjoy watching him for the next 2 yrs. |

And maybe it as all those Detroit redwoods, but Kaiser looked under 6 feet standing next to, even his teammates. - wiz1901
And he uses that to his advantage all the time. Kid gets under players the majority of time has the leverage advantage. Being shorter can be a big advantage if the player uses it that way ...... Smart player. By the time he's 27-28 he'll know every trick in the book.

Either it's his fault or its not. Gotta pick one here Rico.
Judging by your first statement, I'd say it's his fault. |

It was interesting hearing LR’s comments after the game about Kaiser. Said he played well on his offside, and seemed to imply that he may be doing that often this year.
Of course I’m making my own assumptions here, but I took that as a ray of hope that they would be sitting Zaitsev more often than not. |

I probably would have also, as I just remember a Bedard interview where he said that guy was the toughest guy to play against on both ends of the ice he played against.
No way KD would have though judging by the team website video.
Be good to see how Moore does at Minn, I've only seen him play a few times in jrs. Same for Nazar also.

As I mentioned previously, I’m a fan of having three LD’s and three RD’s dressed for games. Although I’d rather have one of the young defensemen playing over Zaitsev, I just don’t want to see the young guys not succeed or lose confidence due to playing their offside, so I’m kind of torn on what is the best option for the Hawks long term, and long term should be their thought process. |

2024 LD defense prospect Aron Kiviharju out 4 months after surgery for sustaining an injury in practice. He'll miss the World Junior Tourney. He was one of the top rated prospects a couple of years ago, but has gradually fallen in rank. Wiz currently has him at #13. |

Well the good part of that problem is that Phillips, Vlasic, and Kaiser have all proven they have earned a spot on the opening roster, and Tinordi is not going to be cut. How much time Kaiser play's on the right side will also be decided if they decide KK should start with the big club also.

Not me, Moore has ridiculous speed, we're talking possibly being faster than McDavid. I really like KD drafting these guys who have a ton of upside late in the first round. Another guy who plays 200 feet of hockey as well. Supposedly already up to 195 pounds i will definitely have to peek in on some Minnesota games. |
