Minny just played the whitesox, angels, reds, A's and Rockies. Their September is somewhat deceptive. I don't like the idea of this offense going up against Lopez, Gray and Ryan in a 3 game series though.

I know, but sadly our last month saw us up against Washington, Colorado, Oakland, KC, Boston - and then those final 12 against TBR and the Yankees.

That said, you're right, some of the other comparison teams in there had harder schedules. How poorly we fared is probably my largest frustration - along with any other Jays fan.

Pretty sure that every power ranking has TB well ahead of Twins. TB generally in top 5 and Minny from 9-12. Jays mostly rank just ahead of the Twins. Grains of salt on these rankings but notable that they’re pretty much unanimous on the TB, Jays and then Twins order.

Three game series are pretty much jump balls (mixed sport metaphor). Jays have been very up and down this year. Some keys to me:

* Lefty bats (Varsho, Belt, Biggio) hit well.
* Good starts from Gausman and gang
* Lefty relievers are effective in (frank)ing up Twins hitters (they don’t have a lot of right handed bats to come in off bench.
Guys hit some boomers (not a demographic reference)

They have faced one playoff team the last month and were 1-2 against them (TB Rays)

Their hot streak is from facing garbage teams out of the playoffs and in the basement.

Its very obvious who the better team is and its the Rays every day and all day.
