Finishing last a season ago did not help Anaheim get Bedard did it? The time to finish last was last season. This year it's time to start building something. - jd250
How does that make any sense if you didn’t get the big prize? What id start rebuilding? There is also a few really good prospects at the top of 2024 |

if someone offered us a 1st and quality prospect for Tippet would you take it? - 2Real
Depends on the first. It would most likely be in the mid 20's so probably not worth it. Even if a prospect is coming back. Which would most likely not be as good as Tippett. Otherwise that team would be better off keeping the prospect.
And in order for it to be a higher first round pick, that team would most likely not be in the market for Tippett to begin with.

This is a complete miscatagorization. Zamula played 11 games with the Flyers during Oct-Nov last year, practiced with the team and got to work with Shaw also. Then he was sent down to the Phantoms where he played big minutes for them, up to 27 minutes per game. It obviously helped him since this year he looks ready for the NHL. Sometimes seeing the game from above is really good for a young player. - jd250
Zamula was yo-yo'ed up and down from the minors and kept sitting for a lot of games when he could've been playing. He missed significant playing time. You place way too much value on practicing in the NHL over actually playing. He was mishandled. Seeing the game from above. LMAO

Why not? He will play about the same number of minutes as the Couts line and will be on the first PP unit. - jd250
The situation is a hypothetical. You're not following. |

Yea, and their going to start that building something with a vet heavy lineup. Out of respect for them of course.

Yes top 5 would be best. From what I am reading any player in the top 6 or 7 will be considered a great pick.
Celebrini
Eiserman
Demidov
Levshunov
These seem to be the consensus top 4

Keys to player development the Flyers way. Practice with Shaw and see the game from above. |

Torts said it himself, you learn everything from watching the game from the pressbox. Its so much faster.
Wait....he said the exact opposite
. Never mind.

what is a little baffling to me is the puppet saying the kids will play if they earn it. How are they supposed to earn it if they are not playing? |

Demidov will most likely drop within the top 15, outside of it wouldn't be shocking either. Just because he was a teammate of Michkov does not mean the Flyers should take him. Same issues, not the same talent.
Lottery picks will be constant whether it's Eiserman or Celebrini. Outside those 2 picks Flyers should be targeting a defenseman depending how they play (odds favorite right now is Levshunov who is playing in NA). I wouldn't be upset if they ended up with Catton who has great speed and probably the best playmaker in the bunch. |

They need to get those young players up on the roof. The higher up the better. Even better if they can get Shaw up there with them.

Vet heavy lineup to start the season out of respect to the vets? Is Danny auditioning for the new season of SNL?
He really is just a co-GM. Dave Scott lacked testicular fortitude as well. |

Rasmus Ristolainen is on the ice for practice. Danny Briere said it is possible he can play Thursday in opener because his IR stint is backdated.

With a smirk, Danny Briere dubbed the Deslauriers - Poehling - Hathaway line the PhD line today. So that's a thing, apparently.

If Staal plays more than half the games this season then I agree with you. Not sure Andrae or Zamula or any other Phantom is ready to play 82 right now. Hopefully Walker, Staal and Seeler are all moved by the deadline.
Over/under 50.5 games played by Andrae and Zamula? - mickel25
At the deadline, we'll move Hart, TK, Atkinson Walker Staal Seeler frost laughton tippett for middle picks. We'll also trade Michkov and Cutter because they don't fit with our 15 year rebuild window.. |
