What an embarrassing take this is. Wake up! It's not like York has played well this season and at the first sign of trouble Torts benches the kid. Yet this is the false narrative you are trying to push on us here simply because you don't like Torts. The FACT of the matter is York has Sucked this entire season. He has not had one great game in 12 games so far. Torts has been more than patient with him, but the bottom line is York is too laid back and not playing the assertive game he is capable of playing. Just the fact that he is not even QB'ing the first power play unit says it all to me, so much so the Flyers have to have the stiff Sanheim do it. The bottom line is York needs to sit a few games and reset, because his play has been awful so far this season, well below what he is capable of. STOP blaming the coach for everything you see wrong with this team, unless you are prepared to give Torts credit for how well the team has played overall this season so far. This team has taken a nice step forward so far this season, and the fact that a player gets benched because they are not meeting the standard does not diminish that.
