Agree. Another test tonight on the b2b.

Just took a look at the standings. Canucks have 70 goals for. The next closest team is Vegas at 58 goals for. Nobody’s even at 60 yet. that’s crazy.

Edit: San Jose has 21 goals for, same number of games played.

If the Canucks can sustain this, they should be expected to win tonight.

Next 9 games the Canucks only play 3 games against playoff teams.

Flames x2
Sharks x2
Kraken x2
Ducks x1
Avs x1
Knights x1

Even if they go 6-3, they would still be on pace for 121 points.

That was a popular reaction. It was weird timing, the player acquired was injured, the team's salary cap looked all (frank)ed up, and people wanted a full rebuild. But it turns out the Canucks didn't need to tank any harder for a top pick because they got franchise players at 5th and 7th overall.

I mean, people were desperate to unload Miller before the contract kicked in. Who'd have thought he'd bounce back like he did? And Boeser was appraised as a cap dump. That contract is looking pretty discounted at the moment.

this is #NHL scoring by team defence corps. The gap between first and second is the same as the gap between fourth and 27th

Canucks 59 points
Carolina, Colorado, Detroit 43 points

Pretty easy to look back in hindsight and call people out.

I'm sure if you went back to the post-trade blog there'd be some similar sentiments.

I was happy to acquire Hronek but the price was high at that time but the team was trending to make the price go down. Now either price would have looked good

Probably a good thing management didn't rip it down or sell low on players like Boeser. Teams wanting Canucks retain on Garland and use an asset to take him on might not have worked out either then.

With Soucy out for a while, some cap space to sign Bear. Canucks need an upgrade over Juulsen and Friedman

People like to think they were happy with the trade. They generally weren't (myself included)

I think it's more because nobody thought we'd make this much of a jump as a team, Hronek is a huge part of that.

I love looking back. Price was high at the beginning, I didn't like it. I said player makes the team better now and in the future. Did I think he would play as well as he has? Nooooo

I had the same reaction with Miller though. The price was acceptable but I believe I called Miller at that time a fringe 2nd liner player. I mean he was a 50 point player that at 26 went boom.

Crazy that Filip Hronek is now 26 and also going boom.

Is there any other mediocre performing 25 years olds the Canucks should be after?

I mean ya, hindsight. Maybe Allvin is just smarter than all of us and that's why he's GM?

It was a very strange timing. Most had the exact same reaction to the Miller trade as well.

Because last year for most of the season he was a liability? Doesn't mean, like the Canucks, he couldn't turn his game around. I'm glad he has, but to say he's been a pinnacle of a two-way center for his tenure here isn't close to correct.

One of the best contracts in the league. Drance should retire from “journalism “ and focus on losing weight and giving back to the community. He has a lot to repent for

I know for myself it had a lot of similarities of what the old regime was doing. There are a lot of comparisons between the Hronek and JTM trade. On both occasions most of us are being proven wrong and are turning out to be core piece trades.

There is another big trade coming later this year you can put it in the bank. I will try not to scream at it and realize the people in charge do know more than me and Kman.

After hearing earlier in the week that PKane was to meet with the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, I can confirm that meeting did NOT occur. Leafs sources reached out to say it did not happen.

I don't think people hate that contract for what it is right now. I think they hate it for what it will become.

Maybe. We'll see how 36/37 year old JTM looks skating around there at 8 mil in a few years.

With Benning, some good, lots bad. Allvin is a little less shaky so far. Still time though.

@HuggyxHoggy

I would not trade Podz or Högs for Chris Tanev

As this tweet says from this random. At first I'd probably say no thanks. Then I would calm down and say ahh maybe Hoglander for Tanev wouldn't be a bad trade.

I would definitely not want to lose the Canucks 1st round pick unless it's for a center under 24. I also wouldn't trade Lekkerimaki, D-Petey, Willander, Brzustewicz, Bains.

If they could make a trade to upgrade a bottom pair D with someone like Linus Karlsson or Nils Aman.

Buffalo with the injury to Thompson just had a fwd spot open up and a little more $$$ to spend.
