Some good things coming from the D this year. I am still blown away by the OT winner last night. That was a shake my head , did that really happen play. - VANTEL
I've been having those moments looking at the standings for the last couple of weeks. Now the scoring leaders. It's been a while.

Miller and Boeser have 10 goals or more in 16 games. Lat time was Mogilny and Linden in 96.
Even if it does fall off what a great feeling to see good hockey again.

That is to be expected. - VANTEL
I get a chuckle out of him arguing with several posters calling him out, only seen one guy back his takes, well 3 if you include Northy and New Yorker. |

We have been around long enough to know he will have his 15 minutes of fame. The old expression even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Right now he looks like a fool to most people but when the Canucks hit a rough spot he will be right there saying I told you so.

Disagree! This team only goes as far as Pius Suter takes them. They are a mess without him.

I'm with you, Suter has impressed me the most.

I think the guy posted his response as a joke but yeah, Suter has been a real boost. I hope he works out for the next half decade or so. That would take a lot of pressure off the team to find that 3C.

No surprise it’s the simpletons that watch the game with spreadsheets. No point watching the game when you can wait for the data later! |

I really like Kuz but what type of contract will he want? I see it as distributing the cap space where needed. Canucks can use another Grade A Dman. - VANTEL
At least Canucks have options for once. It would be nice to not throw a young D to the wolves but I look at the Rangers with Trouba and Fox signed for 8 and 9.5. Where does Schneider fit in there as he will need a new contract next season. Rangers are absolutely pressed up against the cap and have lots of similar contracts to the Canucks.
If they were, I'd look for something that isn't too long and not too much.
Artem Zub and Adam Larsson come to mind. |

Yeah a swap of Kuz for Schneider is something I would be open too. Kuz and Panarin would be a good tag team

No, I'm just bustin your balls because you believe in that poop, Dom's an idiot and still trying to double down but slowly reversing his original poor expected predictions, could you say he is "regressing". - Makita
Who said I "believe" in it?
I can understand and parse what analytics says, I can understand and parse what people write/blog/say from their observations. There's a difference between agreeing with and believing in (hell, you even agreed with his point projection the other day!)
I mean every single professional sports league, organization, and team use analytics more and more. If you're saying your singular viewpoint is the only way to look at something.. then have at it, I'm not gonna bring it up every couple pages |

He looks exactly like just about everyone in this forum over here. https://www.hockeybuzz.co...read.php?thread_id=185231
It's just much funnier that his is just a model that projects standings and not even his own opinion. |

I don't think NYR could afford a 5.5 contract.
I was saying if you Canucks could follow along the lines of their own cap structure this year. Giving Hronek the Myers money plus a little more obviously. Then find someone Zub, Larsson that is the Hronek money. So the Canucks aren't paying 9.5 and 8 for their top 2 RHD.
Or Canucks could give up assets in the off season to trade for Schneider and pay him the 3M he would most likely expect. I doubt NYR would do that this season.
Kuzmenko could be used to acquire Zub or Larsson. Garland or Beauviller plus assets. Ottawa missing a first round pick. Beauvillier plus a 1st for Zub, Idk, maybe, I need to stop thinking about it. |

Brock Boeser is 43.33% of the way to 30 goals.
He currently leads the league in goals.
There are 66 games remaining in the season.

Petey not firing off the big shot that much lately. Mostly playmaking... I'm going to speculate a wrist injury or something else that keeps him from using the big clapper very much. |

gold NYN, there is analytics in all walks of life, but defending a completely made up subjective process based on expectations(that do not track every possible function) is worthy of poking fun at. |

I still want to keep Garland. He draws a penalty a game or so it seems like and as you said the play is usually in the other end. He had a nice shot block last night. When Suter draws back in I think it is a decent line.
