Because in a hockey chat room some guy throws a comment about my family and I told him what I thought about it? Even if it was meant as a joke without a or winky, it's a pretty poor one. |

Wont be emotional or angry. Wasn't a fan but he did play here for many years. I know his parting comments were not what fans wanted to hear but the guy went through an emotional part of his life so Good Luck? - VANTEL
The correct response is silence. He doesn’t deserve emotion |

If I had a dollar for every time you told a poster they didn't understand something you said, I'd have at least 5000 bucks.
I didn't say cherry picking dipshit. I said "counter cherry picking". As in Dayal was cherry picking. Plus, if you don't think zone starts effect scoring stats I just don't know what to say.
Maybe, just maybe, it's you who doesn't fully understand.
PS I hope your wife has triplets. - Load Management

The fans in Vancouver have created the media that they hate so much.
That's got to be why there is so many people covering the Canucks because they feel the same as most do, that everything that is said is stupid and they think they know better. |

I am going to disagree with that. I remember when TSN 1040 had the broadcast rights to Canucks and were squeaky clean. Everything was positive. Sekeres even was respected back then.
As soon as the rights were handed over to SN the format changes about one month after. The entire broadcast team did an 180 and went to attacking everything about the team.
They knew that the only way they could stay afloat is to be the opposite of the flag station. Their entire belief and staff changed all at once. This was not a coincidence, this was a format change to sell their product.
This is a business so media have to chose a side whether they believe it or not. So the media get the exact respect they deserve. Some are snake oil salesmen and some are ass kissers, depending on whomever is paying the bill. |

I dunno.
Quite a few seemed to get a kick out it.
I feel like there’s a stats joke here somewhere.
But I hated stats at university and refuse to go there.
I’m going 3-2 Van.

You sort of just elaborated what I meaning. There are so many sides to Van media because the market dictates it. Laughing at Canucks army articles. Drance is a moron. iMac is a homer. There are so many media members because there is a "need" for that different views from a portion here and portion there. |

I look to the media for NEWS mostly, or some facts about the team. I seldom turn to anyone for opinions.
You can sort through the BS of what is actual and what is snake oil.
I like guys like Gee Hall Fabre (now) because there is a lot of video and facts. I will never be fans even though I may show their postings of most media.
Ray Feraro is a good example. When he was being paid by TSN he didn't have a lot of positive things to say about the Canucks but now that he is paid by the flagship media he has plenty of positives. |

Yeah, it's just news. Some will give their personal opinions, anyone can listen but it doesn't make it gods word.
In Ray's defence, what good things were happening to the Canucks for a long time? Best start in teams history now, so yeah the narrative has changed because it is much more positive around the club. |

There was a lot wrong for sure but there was three Calder top 3 candidates three years in a row and a pretty good young goalie. JTM missed 100 pts by one.
I do mostly agree though there was not a lot but strangely Ray toned down quite a bit once Cammi got hired.

Make sense from both sides but what is happening where a player takes a shorter deal and keeps getting a higher percentage of the cap every year can't happen.
Matthews had 14.64% and his next contract will be 15.87% The cap percentage should only be that high on an 8 year deal. or 12 when Crosby signed his.
If the deal for Pasta was at 13.64% on an 8 year deal. On a shorter term, it should be less for Pettersson.
