Guilty, I’m not a violent man, although I’ve been in a lot of hockey scraps, I’ve only ever been in a handful of fights outside of hockey, the last time was 20 some years ago when some kid said something inappropriate to my wife at a pub at 7pm, it wasn’t even dark LOL!! That kid is probably still lying on that floor in a pile.
Anyway, JT makes me angry, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to punch someone in the face as bad as I do him!!!! - Pacificgem

Kid got trucked. I do feel bad that he got trucked, I don't think it was all that malicious or anything. Grant is hilarious though, he's so old and stuck. His takes are absolutely hilarious. 17 year old kids play in men's league in Europe all the time. |

Hopefully they get up for this game. And, to be fair, most team names are stupid |

You're probably right, regarding the names. When I worked overseas all the UK English guys would make fun of the North American sports teams names. They called baseball "rounders". Their football clubs were just city names with FC behind them. They thought all the names for our sports teams were silly. Nobody like the English though, arrogant twats. |

Canucks, Wild, Lightning, Ducks, on and on. Really nothing great about them.
Ya, for Euro football the city team and FC is just simple. It's the city. There are nicknames which are cool and have some history to them, but generally sports teams names are lame |

I just read the NHL franchise awarded to Tom Cousins in Atlanta was named the Flames in homage to burning the city down....interesting.
Some team names are self-explanatory, others are head-shakers.
The NHL announced on November 9, 1971, that it was expanding to Long Island and Atlanta. The Atlanta franchise was awarded to Atlanta real estate developer Tom Cousins, who also owned the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and would play out of the newly built Omni Coliseum. The team cost $6 million. Cousins named the franchise the Flames in homage to the burning of Atlanta by United States Army General William Sherman during the American Civil War. |

Every English Club has a nickname though.
What's dumb in English soccer is a lot of the teams have the same nicknames
Manchester United are the "Red Devils" So is Crawley F.C.
Birmingham, Chelsea, Carlisle, Ipswich are all nicknamed "blues"
Newcastle and Notts county are both the "magpies"
Just imagine the H.C. Vancouver nicknamed the Canucks playing against Seattle H.C. nicknamed the Canucks also. |

I think they just needed an excuse to piss all over North America, they didn't differentiate much between Canada and the USA or like either of us, but tolerated us. Most of them still thought it was still 1650AD and they ruled the world. Twats!!! |

One of the best shows I ever saw, The Pogues at The Commodore with Joe Strummer playing guitar.
The bookstore downstairs had all the books empty the shelves from the crowd moshing. Unbelievable night. Saw them 4 times. |

My boss was just telling me he saw them at the Commodore in the 90s, he said he remembers stage diving and crowd surfing
I actually just went to the Commodore for the first time on Monday to see The Struts, one of the nicest venues I've ever seen, can't believe it's taken me this long to go considering I've been to Van like 10 times |
