Don't the Flyers get Mitchkov in a couple of years? Oliver Bonk? Cutter Gauthier?
On the big club is Brink, Foerster, Farabee, York, Zamula
they have a stud goalie in Carter Hart who is 25.
They have 2 first round draft picks this year.
They do not have Bedard, but they have a very nice prospect pool along with some younger NHL quality players Koneckny, Tippett, Hart.
I love how in order to defend Davidson's wrecking ball approach, other ways of rebuilding the retort is "they will never be elite", only the wrecking ball approach is correct, just have patience.
Below is the top 15 teams in the league as of today. How many of them in the past 25 years did a complete wrecking ball rebuild? How many have been in the top 15 of the league for a very long time?
New York Rangers
Vancouver Canucks
Vegas Golden Knights
Boston Bruins
Colorado Avalanche
Los Angeles Kings
Winnipeg Jets
Dallas Stars
Florida Panthers
Philadelphia Flyers
Carolina Hurricanes
New York Islanders
Toronto Maple Leafs
Washington Capitals
Tampa Bay Lightning
Lets see what KFC does in the off-season. My hopes are not high.

Colorado kind of did. Coming off Duchene and ORielly the way they did was certainly a significant retool.
The Panthers were very bad for 10 years. The Canucks have been very bad or mediocre for the last 8 or 9 years. All their big shooters except Miller were all draft picks.
Dallas was bad for a good 5 year stretch but then went out and got guys.
LA was pretty bad for a few years. Vancouver was very bad for a few years.
Winnipeg pretty mediocre - nothing as dreadful as a sub 70 point season but still not good. Islanders also mediocre. Hurricanes arguably haven't done enough to get over the hump.
The Rangers tried to lose on purpose and did pretty good job for two years but really hit it big with getting Fox and then Zib turning into a first line center but they bottomed out to two top three picks in a row.
The Leafs were very very bad for 10 years and bottomed out even more for Nylander, Marner and Matthews all in a row they definately tanked. Under 70 points twice woof that was fairly obvious and egregious.
The Bruins and Capitals have had a few off seasons but both franchises have been largely good for the last 30 years even if they haven't won as many cups.
Penguins tried to bottom out for Crosby and did and the devils were very very bad for a long time.
I think there are plenty of teams that have tanked and gotten if not completely horrid then very very bad. Some of those teams wallowed at the bottom longer than others.
Probably time this TDL and upcoming off season to start building a team and bringing in some guys who are motivated to win. Running into an Ottawa or Buffalo scenario where there are a bunch of young promising players absent any solid veteran leadership (lol Giroux) would be very bad.
