Does not have to be this bad.
Refusal to address the issues and bench the problems is a real issue. |

No argument. It's why, when people didn't want Kane here, I always questioned...who are you dying to keep in this lineup?
We swung and missed. Oh well. But it does stink when we consistently refuse to ice our best lineup on top of missing on guys over the summer/this fall. |

The team has physically talented players. It's on the staff to activate that. They're soft and they're not put into a position to succeed. Because the coaching isn't good enough.

Not sure I've asked, but would you fire Granato as well? Just the assistants? Or no coaching changes, we just need to get a GM that moves the needle? |

If you hire a GM from outside, he should get to pick his coach.

Rivet taking a dump on the decision to bring up Appert to coach. Says it's a slap in the face to the NHL assistants. Call's it a mickey mouse decision, and the explanation the organization gave was a total joke.
Then he asks a great question, If Peca was on Granato's staff, would Appert still have been called up? - washedup20
It is ! But 20 you are wrong!! This is a MINNY MOUSE operation!! Complete wit heals skirts and purses!!! |

Is that always the case? I agree, it's just that should and will are a long ways away it seems with TPegs. Think there's any chance he can convince a GM that Granato stays? |

Is this the fault of the prospects? Honestly, I have thought Benson and RyJo were two of our better players this year.
I'd say it's the vets that are the anchors. Okposo, Girgs, Olo, Skinner, EJ, Clifton and Comrie were the worst of the group this year IMO. - QuinnFan
Benson is an outlier and Ryan Johnson is 22, seasoned nicely in college. Why swedish included quinn and peterka in his argument is beyond me. They arent prospects
All these guys don't have spots here and pretending ostlund and Wahlberg are coming to save us is insanity, literally by definition. They are 2 or 3 years away at least. Kulich should be trade bait if he isn't a regular on the roster by seasons end
13 (frank)ing years and some people keep pretending 19 year olds are coming to fix all the problems i dont get it |

If you hate this team so much, why do you continue to watch them and come here and complain? Were you somehow banned from the Rangers board? - RichardRoma

The sabres should be selling off whatever veterans they can at or before the deadline
Mitts either needs to be extended or traded by the deadline
Will they? |

Oh cool let’s extend another career underachiever for more than he is worth and longer than either party needs.

They were prospects 16 months ago.
Now they might drive the bus towards the playoffs.
You can be pissed off about the current state of the franchise, but still appreciate the talent that they have in the pipeline at the same time

This year I have only spent $50 bucks, paid my rent on time, and haven’t watched the Sabres or invested any time into them.
I even reloaded my NHL be a GM sim in 2025-2026 season and reloaded until they lost in the Stanley Cup finals (I GM my own created team, screw these guys). |

I guess the insane part to me is to constantly be blaming the wrong players. The young kids aren't the problem. The issue is the vets. We would 100% be better off without about 5 forwards and 2 D on this roster, they're below replacement level players.
Whether we replace them with Kulichs and Rosens, or with FAs, that's a choice, but IMO will likely garner better results. As we've seen, you can sign FAs and get very poor results. Sometimes it's better to trust youth...as we should have, at minimum, in RyJo's and Benson's case. |
