I really hope LR doesn't keep sitting Phillips out.
- BetweenTheDots

He won’t. Phillips will be sent down soon.

Yeah, don’t leave Panari alone on the left. 🤣

Ha, I think you know what I mean, the 18 yo thinking he is still playing in Regina.

Oh, yeah. That too. Can’t stay stationary for very long in this league.

Nice stick check to an opportunity by 98- although unclear why 25 hasn't figured out that it is not reversed offsides to back pass to his defensive partner - and insists on trying to ram it up the ice -with the predictable result that nothing much happens -I guess it was at the very end of the period - but I've seen him do that stunt before.

He was where he was supposed to be, covering for the pinching D, but then trying to best Trochek at the blue line was a definite no no

That's definitely where it will be nice when Bedard gets stronger on his skates and can avoid being knocked down so easy in that kind of situation.

There are a few guys on this team that haven’t figured it out, and Tinordi and Johnson are two that never will. If you lack talent, then you keep it simple, not that complicated.

Is Phillips still up with the Hawks? Anyone hear anything about him?

They might as well just get rid of the kicking rule altogether

Why? He was stopping. It sucks but it’s a good goal. There was no actual kicking motion.

Been wondering about Trouba. Think he was dinged recently but he's skating... Bedard just better keep his head up. With that dangerous bastard on the ice it'll be a win if the club gets outa New Yaaaawk healthy no matter the score.

Blackwell tries so damn hard. If he just kept things simple he’d be a lot better. He keeps trying to make extra difficult passes.

There new GM started this offseason, and said they were rebuilding. I called it a retool because their turnaround so far has taken less than a year.

Yep, the Hawks did not go through any lean years before KFC took over.

Didn't he get into a scrap in Boston (Frederick). I'm wondering if he got hurt in that fight. He's still skating like you said but he is not 100% he's usually hunting to hit somebody

Flyers are kind of a low bar. Mediocre team that over-achieved a little this year but are far from being a real contender. Bubble team at best.

They fit LA's narrative though as they are doing things differently than KFC so they must be doing the rebuild correctly according to rebuild bible.

But also proof that you can sell off pieces, add some assets make some reasonable FA signings and be at least competitive during games.

Boris did a nice job of getting open, receiving the pass, entering and sliding the thing over flat. Seems basic but most of the Hawk forwards can't do that.

He has some back class. Scored 30+ goals twice and hit 80ish pts in jrs IIRC. With a near complete dearth of players who know what to do with the thing inside the Ozone dressing Katchouk seems like a no brainer.
