More moves would need to be made for the Team right know and even doing this Deal the Sabres still have the assets to improve without hurting there future. Plus your adding future Bonk in these deals. If Bonk, Strbak hit in 3yrs you could have a hell of a Dcore with Ryan Johnson and Novikov in there. Could probably move Samuelsson for a needed piece at that time.

I'd like to keep him myself, but the reality is that they can't keep everyone...that is the benefit of having a good pipeline...can replace good players who become expensive with younger players on ELC's or Bridge deals.

I don’t see, Mitts, Joker or UPL who are aging into their prime becoming dominant like the players that were traded away before.

I have no problem in a Mitts for Konecny trade. I've stated they are about as equal (in value) as you could get IMO.

Its adding in JJ and Bonk that made the trade make no sense.

If people want a RHD prospect in the pipeline use a forward prospect (and a pick if need be) Makes no sense IMO for this team to use a proven player to acquire a future.

casey may have a slightly higher ceiling due to being a center but the higher floor and the better all around player is konencny
