I can almost understand the faith in the continued development of our young players. Letting the system sit full of picks and prospects instead of bringing in the right kind of support and depth players is the third huge mistake. This could have been addressed at the trade deadline last year. At this point I don’t think anyone on this team is untouchable in the right trade. I would not have said that a month ago.

This is still nonsense, even with the season we're having. We've had a lot of injuries in the top6 and our coaching took a nose dive. There's no reason, with a healthy team and positive coaching, that this team can't just make the playoffs but go far.

If I was the next GM, I'd need three good defenders, a defensively sound 4th line and a halfway decent coach to win a Cup. That's about it.
