If the core plays at less than a PPG again next season, would you begin to question their talent or is it still mostly coaching? Would you then call last season for what it was, lighting in a bottle with 5 players having career years?

A lot of these well run orgs have stars at the top that demand respect. Say whatever you want about the man but he has clout in this league. After finding out he was going to have to wear a bit, with the reins in TPegs hands, he wanted out...and frankly, who can blame him?

Only after Terry sells. He rather have his wife with zero hockey experience run them into the ground, only to step in himself once she was incapacitated, than hand the keys to someone, anyone that is a seasoned, experienced, successful veteran of the NHL

4-3-1 in their last 8 and although the loss to Seattle was a kick to the nuts they carried play in that game and 5 of the previous 7 games (UPL stole Pittsburgh)

Tage has 10 points in his last 8 since getting the brace off and Tuch has been picking it up as of late.

Donnie trying to play like a Lou Lamorello coached team for the first half of the season was a huge part of the issue.

Donnie and Matt Ellis coaching the PP has been another huge issue. Unless you think a PP littered with top 10 picks is supposed to look like that and forgot how to play hockey ?

Our coaching is setting us back big time. I can't wait until Ottawa hires Berube and a couple of good assistants and blows by us in the standings. Look no further than the Vancouver Canucks to see what a difference coaching makes. Last year, the coach that all the players loved (Boudreau) was punted out for hard driving Tochet. They didn't get the results immediately but Tocchet set the tone with a much higher degree of accountability. Even today - with the Canucks at the top of the league standings - he publicly rails on guys on the team that aren't performing to his expectations. When was the last time you saw Meathead publicly hold anyone of significance accountable or have their a__ planted to the bench? Power, Cozens, Krebs, Tage, Dahlin, Sammy etc have all made boneheaded mistakes recently with zero repurcussions.

We live in hockey hell and it will continue until Pegula sells the team or he hires a President of Hockey Ops who'se not a family member - and gives them carte blanche to run the hockey team with no interference.

I don't think we got worse. Just back to the same sh!t prior to last year.

The team showed real promise and growth and KA and company did the absolute minimal coming into this year.
