We will never know. Could have tried to stop the momentum. Would like to see him do something. Goalie deserved better.

Isn’t your hate of Richardson getting in the way of an injury depleted team that was terrible before the injuries that just gave the current best team in the NHL a scare? The way these guys played tonight was what Richardson is about not a (frank)ing timeout. He may prove not to have the strategic or in game nuances of a Quenneville or a Jon Cooper but he sure can motivate a team and have them playing a sound defensive game.

It really isn't, it's more about successful shifts for these young players for now. The wins are down the road.

Isn’t your hate of Richardson getting in the way of an injury depleted team that was terrible before the injuries that just gave the current best team in the NHL a scare? Paul you watch a lot of hockey. You know a ton about hockey. Was it obvious to you that the Jets had all the momentum and somebody had to do something to eek out it late? Would you have called a timeout to settle things down and try to cool them off? Or would you have passively watched another late game collapse without doing a thing?

Yeah, three whiffs on Ehlers as he just skates by everyone was pretty ugly. They simply don't have the (any) talent at this point. The fact they kept WPG at bay for 55+ minutes was the win here.

When you look at what happened on the GWG, would settling them down have done anything? Ehlers literally skated through 3-4 Hawks. That's a gross talent difference.

Richardinson is 28 I doubt he will be around when the Hawks are relevant. Plus I hope he is traded at the TDL, take advantage of his unsustainable shooting percentage

Why is that coaching, and not just poop play/mistake by the player?

That was an answer to why he is playing ahead of a younger defenseman, that maybe he is dressing to help his trade value

. Yes he have called a time out. In 1976 when Darryl Sittler scored 10 points against Boston would you have been critical of the one missed checking assignment? Steve if I read fair and balanced comments about Richardson from you I’d jump right in about the criticisms because some are warranted. Richardson is an up and coming coach who seems to be able to work with teams to play sound defensively. My biggest criticism is some games the teams don’t come to play but that happens with any team and any coach. The lack of talent on this club emphasizes the bad.
