Take Yakov Trenin or Joshua Dakota, they can punch faces and throw a 150 hits and add 10 to 20 goals apiece. - Buff36
Having a 4th line that was good and set a physical tone would make a noticeable difference.
Might even encourage the rest of the team to play at least a little that way. |

It's a misrepresentation. People were clamoring for face punchers; they're dinosaurs. I'd love to have a Tkachuk on the team, but they're expensive as hell, and there's nothing about this franchise that would give me even a sliver of hope that they would go out and get someone like that because of the cost. They're too busy rooting around in the $4.99 discount DVD bin - Wetbandit1

I think the flyers are about to go into a feefall and I would look at what it takes to get Konecny |

Both Sam and Mitts have 34 even strength points.
Goes to show you how brutal our special teams are.
Second year in a row that special teams is the biggest issue with this team and it’s going to cost them yet again.
They are finally getting goaltending this year too |

I feel like there are some red flags around that guy, and we are not in a position to be taking chances at this point. Need a guy that checks a few boxes: character, grit, can score. Preferably can play in the middle 6. |

one is shooting 15 percent
the other is ungodly at 27 percent
this team overachieved last year and did nothing to keep that momentum this season aside from epecting career years last season to be matched |

we have a lot of red flags already though
I wish we had a gm that would do something with the ball instead of sitting in the corner with it

Shift in coaching philosophy was the biggest boo boo.
Injury luck didn’t help, and I still don’t think Tahe/Tuch/Skinner are anywhere close to 100%.
Fact of the matter is, they are built for an up tempo game and the coach installed a system predicated on playing low event hockey and dragging teams into the mud at 5v5.
They completely galaxy brained themselves because of god awful goaltending last year. |

The time for an impact move was at the trade deadline last year. Egregiously negligent GM’ing. I feel like we’re in a weaker position now than we were then. Admittedly, I’m not even sure what we have, talent-wise, with this poopty coach and GM calling the shots. |

It’s not a misrepresentation. Nobody wanted a face puncher. The misrepresentations were a manic insistence that advocating for some grit and jam meant we wanted John Scott and Andrew Peters. There were absolute assertions that grit and talent were polar opposites. - SoCalPucks
Bro, half the motherfückers here wanted Ryan Reaves. A face puncher through and through with no other talent. The Pens thought they needed him. He lasted 58 games before they sh¡tcanned him. |

I found a double feature of Ghostbusters 1+2 in the Walmart bin for $5 one time. That's nearly as good as a Prysk and Hinostroza package or even a Clifton and Comrie combo - Hank Balling

So you're saying the power play is vital, and perhaps underrated in terms of importance, and having a guy who can perform at a top level on the power play is crucial to a team? |

I still want him, he’s made the playoffs every year since 11/12’.
I don’t think you people realize how soft this youngest team in the league is.
This group needs a Reaves and multiple Foligno’s. The Sabres roster plays soft and scared.
Or continue to ignore the GM’s words last season and Cozens words this season. Ignore the slow starts, the unmotivated play, no self-respect.
Reaves would do wonders for this team, that’s how bad they are. Role players matter, the Sabres, and some fans continue to ignore that. |

Yeah but you can actually find good DVDs there.
Adams is down the “Media” aisle at Goodwill trying to decide between Seinfeld Season 4 on DVD or Friends, Seasons 2, 3 and 6, and he doesn’t care those are the most replayed episodes on network syndication because one time there was a Frasier season 1 DVD in a Big Bang Theory box set and he loves Frasier.
Anyway that’s a good question and we’re glad you’re asking questions. The truth is, you can find Shin Godzilla and Pacific Rim in the $4.99 bin and we feel those are two examples of DVDs we can hope develop themselves onto the Goodwill shelves but as of right now, don’t run on cable, that’s Pacific Rim 2 and we already have that on digital download. |
