the kings are more kinked than the sabres, despite the similar talent.
- TheSabresTaco

Think Buffalo has more talent throughout the whole Organization, but Top 5 is doing his 7 Years In Budapest before he makes a F@cking move.

Sounds like Vancouver has been trying to move Kuzmenko. Be a interesting piece, they need cap space but he's decent to. Wonder if we could get Joshua in the deal. Give us a head start on FA.

Adams is more of a Stillman guy

That Tippett deal may have (frank)ed the Sabres a bit, in multiple ways.

How much are Casey, Peterka and Quinn going to cost on their next deals this offseason and next?

The GM is already frozen in paralysis.

It's likely worse now.

i didnt want to say anything controversial like stating we're organizationally deeper in talent, which is objectively true, which is why this team is the (frank)ing worst.

his career path is quite similar and he was paid what we all imagine casey will be paid. You're around 6 million. Then you need to start thinking, are all three of casey jack and jj going to get paid to be here?

it's a question that can't be adequately answered in total agreement.

if you expect a slight bump in numbers for quinn and peterka

that number is the current market value

casey is worth more and will get paid more as his agent is well aware of his 5 on 5 numbers over the last year plus

the real question is if they lock up quinn, peterka and casey this summer, then at what point do you start moving all these prospects picked in the first few rounds

tage
skinner
tuch
cozens
casey
peterka
quinn

that's 7 of the 9 spots needed for your first 3 lines

and none of them stand out as pk guys aside from tage

add the 3 deals of dahlin, power and samuelsson with the signs of ryan johnson being decent

so all these extra prospects for 2 spots on the third line

2 d men to obtain

and maybe a goalie to obtain

a core locked up long term that has not even sniffed a playoff game is a bold strategy

if Arthur Kaliyev is on the block, I would snatch him up

he could easily be a decent fixture on the 4th line

- homiedclown

Kaliyev has great skills…. One skill he is lacking is skating… which you need to play hockey. Picture Jack Quinn with 50% less skating abilities. I wouldn’t touch him

Girgensons- yes
Okposo- probably a wash.
If you are using him for 4th line duties… I think the Sabres can find much better options. Get a few guys who can finish a shift without falling and can bring some grit. Go get someone like my man Bjugstad in Phoenix

Trade Mitts
Bridge JJP and Quinn.
Draft suitable replacements for those who are more easily replaced.

But, in reality none of It matters until Adams secures at least two truly Captain / stud leaders. The rest is all fodder. Need to get their modern day Drury and Briere.

A pussified, leaderless core at that.

I'll say it again, and am sure to be called crazy...this core is mentally weak and has no internal compass on how to lead. Hence, a bit dramatic for affect, but I'd consider trading Tage, Power, Kulich and the 2024 - 1st (a top 5?) for the right guy who fits the profile

Completely understandable, however, if you wait until it’s glaringly obvious that they are legit players your chances of getting them signed to good contracts decreases significantly.

Exhibit A: Samson Reinhart.

Had they signed him long term instead of bridging him, he’d still have 2 or 3 years left at $6M per.

Don’t make the same mistake with Peterka and Quinn

Bridge Mitts or trade.

Long term with Peterka and Quinn.

IMO of course
