The coach has his fingers on the pulse of that room.......
“We’ve had lots of frustration this year,” Sabres coach Don Granato said. “I think about frustration through other games and it’s completely different. We weren’t at the place we’re at now. We have much greater conviction, much greater confidence. I don’t worry about guys being frustrated right now. I think pissed off is probably a much more appropriate term than frustrated.”
“I’m more than pissed off,” defenseman Rasmus Dahlin said.
Then Tage later admitting they don't work hard:
“I think the results typically follow the work ethic,” said Tage Thompson, who scored the Sabres’ lone goal in this game. “And I think, throughout the season, we haven’t been consistent enough in that. And the games you do lose because of the lack of intensity, those ones come back to haunt you.”
This is the cherry on top, this guy is the KJP of hockey:
“We’re not happy with where we are in the standings,” Adams said. “ I understand fans’ frustration. I’m frustrated, too. We’re going to do everything we can to get better. We’re going to look at every opportunity toward the trade deadline, but there’s a lot of teams in spots on the fence. Do you make moves, do you not make moves? Sometimes you can do things. But sometimes it may have to wait until the offseason as well.”

who would have thought this with all those first round picks playing D
"4. Buffalo Sabres
Low-danger shots allowed: 603
High-danger shots allowed: 423
Ratio: 1.43
Things have not gone as planned in Buffalo this season, and the team defense hasn’t made things easy on the goalies. Rookie Devon Levi has faced shots from an average distance of 32.35 feet, the second-closest of any goalie in the NHL.
The Sabres don’t allow a particularly high number of shots. They rank 10th with only 29.1 against per 60 minutes. However, they give up the sixth-most high-danger shots per game, making it very tough for Levi and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to put up solid statistics. That Luukkonen has managed an above-average save percentage of .910 is a testament to how well he’s played."

so much for the injury excuse
According to NHL Injury Viz, the Sabres have 147 man games missed due to injury. That’s the 14th most in the NHL, so right around league average. The cap hit of their injured players ranks 15th in the NHL.
NHL Injury Viz also measures the Lost (positive) WAR of injured players, which is a weighted three-year average of Evolving Hockey’s Wins Above Replacement stat. By that measure, the Sabres are 16th in the NHL.

How big of a decision?
Getting Levi some AHL games was a good idea
Signing RyJo would be the last big win IMO |

Everyone needs to stop going to the games to protest this crap or it will be the same broken record year after year. Stop buying tickets to see misled players lose. It is that easy. Pegula will have to do something if no one comes to a game. Phuk Pegula, he will always be remembered as the dum rich guy who destroyed Buffalo's professional sports teams. The teams that choke because their owner will never put the right leadership in place to get them the right resources to win it all. Who the F puts their waitress wife in charge of million dollar sports franchises unless they want them to lose. Really, think about it. This bs has gone on for far too long, and if anyone still buys tickets then they need to get their head examined because they must enjoy pain and sorrow. - FireRuff

This is true. How many high danger chances can you generate without getting a goal. I’d love to see a stat of teams high danger chances to goal conversion.
I bet we are bottom 5. Answer is simple.
We need to hard nosed net crashers to screen and pick up rebounds. We have zero currently |
