How big of a decision?
Getting Levi some AHL games was a good idea
Signing RyJo would be the last big win IMO - QuinnFan
I’d give Levi all next year in Rochester. Look how long UPL took to develop. Just throwing Levi back out there as a back up to UPL next year is a mistake. |

Sadly, this is the only answer. - lulags
I went to 2 games this year. 1 because my kid played at intermission and 1 because my other kid did the floor hockey program at school. Both times the kid gets a free ticket code and you can purchase the others. They designate what sections the code and subsequent tickets are dedicated too. This year it was all 100 level. Years past it was 300. They basically stopped families from using this to buy 300 level seats cheap and move down. The Sabres are so pathetic they're using children to con families into paying for tickets and going to games they otherwise wouldn't go to. Yeah we lost both games. I have no plans to attend a Sabres game ever again. |

it's always the other teams goalie having "their best game of the year"
maybe the sabres just suck at shooting - homiedclown
Hot goalie
Bad bounces
Puck luck
Refs suck
Snake bitten
Anything other than we're just not very good |

First game yes. And I managed not to get any on my Stu Barnes jersey |

Can confirm after last game. Dahlin tried to break his stick over his own head 3-4 times

Couldn't disagree more, personally. (No offense meant, you're likely in the majority on this).
Goalies develop at different speeds, UPL slowed due to the hip surgery, something Levi doesn't need. I'd bet my bottom dollar that he will beat out UPL for the starting job next year tbh.
Either way, they're going to be a great tandem, I'm just hoping they're both signed before they get expensive and it's not in the cards. |

You aren't kidding. I watched some of the Stars/Leafs game last night just for comparisons sake against the Sabres. It didn't even look like the same league. |

There is a high probability that Terry saw how well the Jr. Sabres were doing and just copied that for his NHL team....it looks more and more like this is the case. The Sabres under Adams, have turned into a full blown development team for the league.

This is so sad but true. I was just thinking about which productive players are about to be set free to go win big time this trade deadline season? |

Spent a bit of time at night in Boca when I was working a little south of that for 6 months, about 7 years ago. Bring lots of cash, lol. |

Everyone needs to stop going to the games to protest this crap or it will be the same broken record year after year. Stop buying tickets to see misled players lose. It is that easy. Pegula will have to do something if no one comes to a game. Phuk Pegula, he will always be remembered as the dum rich guy who destroyed Buffalo's professional sports teams. The teams that choke because their owner will never put the right leadership in place to get them the right resources to win it all. Who the F puts their waitress wife in charge of million dollar sports franchises unless they want them to lose. Really, think about it. This bs has gone on for far too long, and if anyone still buys tickets then they need to get their head examined because they must enjoy pain and sorrow. - FireRuff
Ok, easier said then done
About 16 home games left , as a season ticket holder you already paid for games in advance.
I sold 6 or 7 of the games….
You’re basically asking for the franchise to move out of Buffalo …

Adams getting the details finished on a 6 year $6 million per for Levi… will fit in perfectly with the other boat anchor contracts he has doled out 😂 |

Only contract I have a hard time with is the Samuelsson one. He didnt deserve it and wasnt a sure thing. He had some promise for sure but I think everyone was caught off gaurd there.
The other 4 I have no problems with. Maybe Power as it was a bit early. But I get getting him signed long term. |

who would have thought this with all those first round picks playing D
"4. Buffalo Sabres
Low-danger shots allowed: 603
High-danger shots allowed: 423
Ratio: 1.43
Things have not gone as planned in Buffalo this season, and the team defense hasn’t made things easy on the goalies. Rookie Devon Levi has faced shots from an average distance of 32.35 feet, the second-closest of any goalie in the NHL.
The Sabres don’t allow a particularly high number of shots. They rank 10th with only 29.1 against per 60 minutes. However, they give up the sixth-most high-danger shots per game, making it very tough for Levi and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to put up solid statistics. That Luukkonen has managed an above-average save percentage of .910 is a testament to how well he’s played."
https://theathletic.com/5...alies-stats-danger-shots/ - homiedclown
This article should be read by every Sabres fan...all 5 of them remaining.
To put that into proper Context, a High Danger shot has a average SV% of .806 across the league, while conversely an Low Damager shot has .961.
Allow that to sink in and consider UPL, playing on the 4th worst team is terms of High Danger shot to Low Danger shots allowed. Then add to your consideration the fact that his Avg SV% of .910 against the league average of .904.
It all simply points to the fact that UPL is having a very, very successful season so far with a defensive system (or lack thereof) which allows the opposition to walk right in with point blank shots and shots across the crease with an opposing player wide open in the slot.
This isn't hard guys. UPL has found his NHL game and Granato's thumb up at Advanced Analytics is significantly contributing to his workload being very difficult.
Can we all just retain from the ill-informed "make a stop UPL comments".
Hey Kevy, get some friggin Defensive help you asswipe. Take your head out of your ass and go acquire Chris Tanev to start. Maybe even make a deal (I know, right) for Jiricek.
Then, fire every single one in the Coaching Staff. How much more absolutely Mind Numbing coaching do you need to see?
Idiot! |
