An underperforming high draft pick is what's missing in Buffalo? - washedup20
I think he was a 2nd rounder but if we're going to turn this around, you need to identify guys who are being underutilized or misused on other teams.
He's this year's Sean Durzi, to me. Different position but same team is undervaluing a good player. |

It's his main issue, but I think we can stand that on the 3rd line. I'd consider him and Greenway as similar in this department. - QuinnFan

That they don't want to kick in ELCs early? Could be nothing more than that.
However, Kaliyev isn't a prospect, he's been in the league for 3 years now. He just isn't getting the minutes he wants in LA. - QuinnFan
The ELC has already kicked in with Rosen.
There is no more ELC slide for him. |

if the bills free up some cap, and miami is not going to sign Wilkins long term, he is a guy they should try to get |

If they feel they need to improve by looking outside the organization for a player, that's a positive.
But then the corresponding move is to unload one or more of their prospects, especially if they are bringing in another (Greenway) 4th line player who they want to play higher in the lineup.
Makes little sense with Rosen ready to come up from Rochester. |

None of this nonsense can be real, right...?
Why would they not move Zemgus in yet another lost season?
We've heard for years now that Olofsson is on his way out.
>>> Victor Olofsson will likely step into the lineup for now, but he’s living on borrowed time with the Sabres.
>>> If we go by Friedman saying that the Kings are looking for a depth player with an edge, the Sabres don’t have a lot to offer in that regard. Jordan Greenway could be the exact type of player the Kings are looking for, but I don’t see Kevyn Adams moving on from him.
>>> The next logical player that fits the need is Zemgus Girgensons. I don’t think he alone would be enough to acquire Kaliyev and I’m not sure if the Sabres would move him either.

Fair. Can't always get perfect players though. I'd still take a swing if the price was low. |

So explains for Kulich. Being that Rosen plays wing though, you're right on him. Maybe they don't think he's ready? His production would indicate he deserves the look. I'd do it, just trying to think what their reticence is. |

Well, sounds like Guentzel wants out. I'm assuming a package for him would rival Lindholms and he'll probably go to a contender...
But hypothetically, if the Pens were open to swapping him for Mitts+, do you do it? |

He has a M-NTC which would be safe to assume Buffalo is on that list...also he is a UFA at the end of this season while Mitts is an RFA. Is Pitt looking for 0 compete, rely on talent, perimeter players seeking north of $7mm on their next contract? |

Rosen still needs to adjust to driving on the other side of the road...the driving rules in the US have really held him back....once he learns how to drive on the right side...look out.
It's called potential...and he has it baby! |
