Longest tenured coaches in the NHL + Points % (through 22/23)
Cooper .644
Sullivan .609
Bednar .592
Brind-Amour .661
Keefe .678
Ruff .553
Granato .484 - Lunaion
I truly believe this is the best reason to fire Granato. There is literally no reason he should be the 7th longest tenured coach considering their lack of success. Still wild to me that he is actually that high on the tenure list - it doesn't feel that long |

This is Granato's 3rd full season. Why are we acting like he's Lindy Ruff 15 years into it?
Fire him, don't fire him, you couldn't pay me to give a fück at this point. There are far bigger problems with the team, starting with the bozo in charge. |

I still think best case scenario for Mitts is putting pen to paper on a 4 year deal.
But, at least we know he’s worth a 1st round ++ after what Monahan fetched today - Swedish_Jesus

Yes Petry sucks, playing 19min a night, has 14pts is a +3. And doing his usual blocking shots and hitting while playing 65% Dzone starts. He would be our 2nd Best RD behind Dahlin. |

The excuses for the inactivity, or worse, the very piss poor activity while shopping in the bargain bin are endless.
- Why didn't they leverage their cap space the past 2 seasons to at least acquire additional assets for their rebuild? Because they claimed they didn't want to block their young players, supposedly
- Players don't want to come here. How are you supposed to make players come here? Not the GM's fault, supposedly
- Adams almost made some big moves, they just didn't work out. Not his fault, supposedly
- He tried bargain bin, borderline scrap heap players that had a fair chance of not helping at all, and worse, being a detriment to the teams performance. It's not a waste of cap space, because they are only short term deals, supposedly
- They should be doing what is needed to make the playoffs, especially leading up to the trade deadline last season, and the past offseason. They didn't because they don't want to sacrifice the next decade of success they are planning for short term success, supposedly
All of the above falls under varying degrees of bullpoop.
It is a GM's singular job to construct a winning roster.
Excuses like those outlined above are nothing more than reasons to fire an unsuccessful GM. |

Really Good Post 39!
Cap space Really pisses me off, especially with his plan to build a total internal team. If your gonna do that you should have been gobbling up draft picks for bad contracts. Wasted opportunity to fill needed areas in the Organization. |

I bet if we had an NHL level coaching staff the defense would be much closer.
And maybe just one solid vet addition going back to Dahlin entering the league
The GM and Coaches have done nothing to help the young d core grow.
And that falls on the president for putting inexperienced hacks in place. But that’s ok because the president clearly knows more than the fans

The response is often a pair of number one picks shouldn't need any support, but that is only partially true.
If you want to optimize and maximize their growth and potential, they need support early on.
They're doing what they did to Dahlin again to Power.
They never seem to learn a lesson. |

The idea is to amass picks to then leverage those picks later to bring in actual NHL players, so you aren't constantly forced into free agency to fill out a roster properly.
They've done neither of those things well, and have also failed free agency miserably. |

Well that's what a Normal GM would do, not one who thinks you can build a team from Draft Picks.
And not being a A$$, but what FA ? |

100% and they are probably doing worse to Levi. Not to mention the failed leadership of okoposo and grigs
Who would you consider the last solid, winning veteran leadership this team had?
Some might say Gio, but he was a bit of a shell of his former self. I got no one coming to mind on defense.
