There is a development with the origination tonight which may have an adverse effect upon the Tampa Bay Lightning success the remainder or balance of this season

Sergashev, their elite dman suffered a ghastly injury and is likely done for the season, according to the Blackhawks radio team. I would say they were forwarding a message given to them by the production crew

The scuttlebut as far as Blackhawk fans go, could be we receive their draft choice earlier in round one

It was Tim Trimper. Wow, the Hawks have to have set the record for most breakaways without scoring a goal! I can't believe how boring this team is. That #13 is useless. Why is he even in the lineup? KFC, you have to do better. I know you don't want to win but at least keep me interested.

Who remembers Doug Lecuyer? He could shoot from either side. Didn’t help him much though

A bit foggy on his name. Think Tim Ttimper. Circa 1982 early 80’s

You know back then when music was still good

Other: Odds for Fleury to stone us minus Bedard unless Reichel breaks out or both R Johnson and Entwhistle have career night

79-80.

My friends and I decided to do a sports double-header, Cubs game and then the Hawks playoff game that evening.

We saw Trimper, Rick Patterson and Johnny Marks hanging outside of Wrigley. Don't remember what the Cubs did but the Hawks lost to the Sabres later that night.

Thanks for looking up the year
In turn I researched the Buffalo roster since I knew they had a lot of firepower in that era The triple connection or French connection scored plenty for many years. That particular season Rene Robert was not listed on the roster But G Perreault led the squad with 106 points Rick Martin had forty something goals but only 79 points And Danny Gare had 56 goals. Looks like some old slow dmen on that roster. Jerry Korab 31 games with one goal ten assists. Chicago had D Savard, K Brown probably D Wilson and B Murray Tim Higgins too

Yep, it really didn't look that bad until you saw his left leg kind of get caught under him awkwardly.

Speaking of dmen Korchinski should of had at least one apple last night, what a beautiful pass to, i believe Raddysh, misses wide open net. It's nice to see these plays by the kids.

Englewood and Lawndale have some very nice ones.

Highly recommended, they usually have some good deals in that area. If he brings his dog, he can check out some nice architecture during his evening walks, can’t believe what they can do with plywood now days.

One month until the March 8 trade deadline. Remember last season around this time?. We were all speculating where Kane, Domi, McCabe etc were going at what the returns would be.

It will be much quieter this year. Maybe Blackwell and Johnson (with retention) go for 3rd or 4th round picks or a "B" prospect. Hawks could also use their last retention spot for acting as a 3rd party and taking on some cap hit. Usually the returns for acting as middleman aren't that great. Maybe another mid round pick or prospect. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if any picks obtained are a couple of years out.

Looks like Savoie has recovered fairly well from his broken leg. 2 assists in 3 games at Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL.

You're laughing but I have a real air b & b story that is not much different than ones scripted in. jest here.

My next door neighbor is huge Penguins fan and hockey fan in general (Zach, Malkinmania in our fantasy league)

He has good friends spread out in various cities and states, Dallas, Milwaukee, and two in Chicago. They go to every Frozen Four, and take road trips elsewhere and sometimes stay together.

So we are talking about an upcoming trip (this was at least 4 years ago), and he says they rents an Airbnb&B at Adams and Washtub, fairly close to the IEisenhower expressway.

Owing that I grew up at 1901 W. Superior Street, I was pretty sure that the neighborhood hadn't gentrified.
I figured maybe THAT place was going be EAST of the arena, where it is called "South loop" and most of the old German built structures are replaced by new builds w/o old residents.

Their plan to walk to the game was altered to parking at the UC.

Yeah, the area east of the UC has changed significantly, still rough if you go west from the UC.

If he was a Blackhawk then he could wrestle up some of that El Bandino they advertise on radio broadcasts. You know to ease the pain. Russians like to drink vodka but in this case El Bandino tequila

I'm half way through reading 'Draft Day' by Doug MacLean. Interesting stuff. A couple of tidbits:

The Blackhawks were the Lindros family's top choice in the Quebec/Lindros auction, primarily because Mike Keenan had chosen Lindros for the 1991 Canada Cup team, and Eric wanted to play for him and in the big Chicago market. However, Chicago fell out when Dollar Bill wouldn't include any cash in the deal.

Also, legendary Montreal Canadien GM Sam Pollock had an unwritten rule to not trade a player until after a prospect's 23rd birthday. (food for thought for the young player evaluations by the BOD)

Are you saying you don’t believe the BOD can accurately assess a player after one game?

We can assess a player after one shift, it’s you Canadians that like to over analyze and wait longer on a player.

It’s changing west of the UC. Just some of old neighborhood likes to hangout still. Same thing that happened by Seward park and Cabrini. Buddy had a place there in 2010s. It was gentrified and nice but definitely sketchy at night leaving there to walk home to Lincoln Park.

how many shifts do you need to see of Tinordi, Megna, Sanford, Blackwell or Anderson to know they suck?

Speaking of Anderson, member when some wanted to re-sign him?

He’s from a similar mold as Andrew Shaw, nose over the puck, feisty, undersized, plays on the edge with pretty decent junior stats. If he can figure it out like Shaw did and if he can recover fully from his injury, he may be a valuable member of the Hawks in future.
