Talking about Connor Bedard so much, I'm guessing Crosby was his guy - BetweenTheDots
He’s said as much on many occasions. |

How could the Penguins rank nearly worse in the league on the Power play given their talent
Buyer or seller: Penguins Currently sitting seven points behind Detroit for playoff spot but there are four teams to overcome. Penguins need points
The Blackhawks have practically no offensive results worth a hoot in period one the past couple of games. Well in a microcosm Crosby gets Penguins going right off the opening face then throws a biscuit out for easy picking. Penguins have been beating themselves often this season
A couple minutes later Sanford illustrates the team’s passing problem with a poor pass
You know what Soderstrom has worked hard to improve upon his game but the team wide passing problem kind of seems inherent; there just isn’t a lot of skill in this amalgamation of talent on the Chicago roster
It is probably true that Soderstrom might turn out to be a descent NHL goaltender but many forwards in particular and a couple dmen just are not ever going to be wizards with puck movement
In an earlier post I suggested that Hurntzal could be had if a team really wanted a scorer and would surrender a first round choice. While I would not do it and while something positive about sticking to his plan to rebuild through drafting is KD’s plan, I did notice a comment/response citing Guentzal being too old
I checked this out as the years have flown by since he came out of an Omaha junior league team to imprint his talent in the NHL. A scorer type like Guentzal surely had some good years remaining although he is no spring chicken at 29 |

Well we can see Bedard didn't work on defense while he was skating on the ice. Woof |

Is it me or does Soda look like a 100 pound kid playing goalie |

Penguins are up, 2 - 0, for two reasons. First a premiere player scored a goal opening shift. Secondly poor defensive effort was taken advantage of as the Penguins were able to score again
And I will point out btw E Karlsson is not anywhere close to last season’s pace when he rang up 101 points |

I know, I expected him to be at the top of his game his first game back after an injury too. |

He’s -2 with no SOG. Trade him now while you can still get a 3rd or 4th round pick. |

Just heard on radio broadcast, that Guentzal suffered a serious injury last night vs Florida and may be out for the season. Free agent end of season; I do not know if restricted free agent |

Might still need to add. I meant the Hawks if that wasn't clear. |

So frustrating watching a shorthanded 2 on 1 and they don’t even get a shot off. Raddysh should be ashamed. |

He was looking for the pretty play and then to make matters worse Boris couldn't corral his pass. |

I don't think he's scarred to trade picks I think they need to target the right player or just sit on them. Seems like they tried to move up to take Moore last year but no one bit. I'd imagine that happens more often than not with these deals.
The Senators are a cap team and have Stuztle (probably not gonna move), Norris, Pinto and Greig that all play up the middle. Probably can't keep all of them with the cap structure. Someone there should be available but they may want to make a hockey trade and bring in a veteran to help steady that group though theoretically that was Girioux's job.
Panthers probably need to move someone and could be interested in reclaiming some picks. Bennet or Veraeghe may be guys they could pry out for some picks and would be really nice additions.
Maybe a player like Necas is available. He's fast and stuff.
Zegras could be available just because he seems like an extra body at this stage but I would think they would use him if they use him to make a hockey trade to add a solid veteran not named Ryan Strome.
Kappo Kakko may be worth taking a look at if he's available and relatively cheap. The Rangers may be interested in recouping futures.
The hard cap and most of hockey's desire to maintain the status quo with how watered down the league is makes some of these deals kind of tough. Catching a team that wants to retool on the fly and willing to part with a very good player would be ideal since they're one of the few teams with the draft capital to outbid anyone. - fattybeef
Read somewhere that Buffalo may want to move Middlestadt. 25yo center having a decent year with 12G and 31A. He's an upcoming RFA and supposedly the Sabres are expecting he'll want a big raise from his current 2.5M and won't be able to afford him. Trying to think of a hockey trade the Hawks can make with BUF and extend him for 5 or 6 years at 5M or so. Maybe Murphy can be involved. |

Obviously there are lots of issues, but no matter how much they can't score, Mrazek gives them a chance every game, Soda, they don't ever have a chance.
Know he's young, know you have to go through this, but that's not a NHL goalie right now. |

Has anyone regressed more than Raddysh?
Has he "caught" a pass on his stick? |
