Sorry about your bout with poison ivy…. I still get is so severely that I have to to shots every spring. Very odd that you would get it in the winter, as it tends to go dormant. Do you live in a pup tent in the woods? - Cory1
Thank you, appreciate that.
And that's exactly what I said to the doc...what gives?
I was chainsawing on Friday before the snow and he said that the oil from those puppies can still be reactive 6 months after the leaves are gone. So I probably hit an old patch of it with the chainsaw at the base of a tree, it got on my skin and my idiocy (scratching) just fooked me. |

Surely, however let's say the player is a Shea Theodore / Damen Severson / Rasmus Anderson quality player. - IonSabres
Funny EK has Vegas in on Tanev with the injury to Eichel. I would definitely be calling them and see what they have in mind. Kaeden Korzack played very well in the 30 games he played this year. He just got sent down with Theodore getting ready. I would be Happy to get my hands on 1 of there Dman. Be happy to send Krebs or Tuch back depending on who. |

Keep Krebs and Tuch, send them a 3rd for Korczak or add prospects for the bigger names. Why trade Tuch? He's one of, if not the best player we have. |

Kev no longer has the luxury of looking a few years out. He has to win next year, assuming he keeps his job at the end of the season.
He needs Tuch next year.

What is it about Tuch that stands out? Is it just that he has a high perceived value or are you worried his raise from the $4.75M is going to be too much? Or was it just, Vegas trade = trade former Vegas players back?
Just curious.
Tuch is like the last guy I would move, regardless of the target. |

A good point ^^
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but with so many picks and prospects, why would we trade even decent roster players right now? We have a whole chest of promising players on ELCs to move first. |

If you had to move one of the following Sabres for a bonafide Top 4, RhD, in which order would you prefer:
-Tage
-Tuch
-Mitts
-Cozens - IonSabres
if it was for an andersson type with 3 or 4 years left of term
anyone but tage |

He has 2 years left on his Contract, if the Sabres don't get it right next year. You have wasted 3 years of Tuch and know you have to start thinking long-term extension with someone who will be in there 30's. I don't want to trade him, but I would if it helped me longer term. Sabres need work and Tuch doesn't guarantee anything next year. |

It's not a great scenario for him. He needs to win and he has 4 1st rounders about to hit the NHL + 3 (RJ, Levi, Benson) getting their feet wet. How do you have that much youth and compete? How do you fit them in, if you wanted to?
Needs to trade away futures/prospects and a good hockey trade. Things he's never managed in his time as GM. And now the cap/budget are real issues.

I know the story is that Terry trusts Kev, but his confidence in him as GM must have taken a hit this year.

Doubt it. Use an UNO reversal card and use Skinner with a high pick.

Chad had some interesting things to say about the team that, beyond our (and my) emotions about how this team functions, it's not all poop.
I've maintained throughout that the core is good enough. The powerplay was uber poop but their ES scoring numbers are pretty decent.
Since UPL's been on a roll, the team has been average. 10-10-1 kind of average.
Kevyn failed this franchise in the offseason, as many people declared even as soon as Kyle re-signed.
Don failed this team by not getting these guys ready every night and having a system that demands net front intensity. Not to mention an overcorrection on defensive structure that stymied the (frank) out of the players.
And the players themselves have regressed en masse.
In reality, the coaching staff should be released and so should Kevyn, but that won't happen. |

Posted this last night, the PP is 18.2% in January, 18.8% in February. That's only about 1 goal below average for those 2 months, while UPL has been insane. They are 9-8 with a soft schedule.
The top 5 are good enough, but not playing good enough. It all starts there. Duck's top 5 beat their top 5 yesterday. That's happening most nights.

bingo. imo that's the coaching and the players.
they want to take offense from the booing and the chanting, fine. go be (frank)ing soft. but you did this to yourselves, and your coaching staff didn't do their jobs this year.
and kevyn didn't do what he needed to do, not in the offseason, not in the beginning of the season, and not at the midseason either. He is feckless, and he sits in a room like a dog in the dark until terry comes in for his afternoon (frank). |

I would've thought the Vegas game would be one of the better ones to go to with how good they are, but that also makes it an easier game to sell.
Tough choice there.
Eichel hasn't played in over a month. - kingcong39
I’m guessing Eichel will be missing the game, also the back to back weekend game makes it an easy choice to sell.
