more assists than goals at every level
it's ok to have a decent shooter on the top line on a cheap contract

He is a moron who constantly lies, he is a pathological liar.
He makes things up and presents them as facts and constantly gets proven wrong and he is completely incapable of understanding because he is also a compulsive liar, too so he never knows which lies are his facts and which lies are the lies he doesn’t even realize he tells.
A “declining Huberdeau” made me laugh ngl 😂 - Jet Jaguar BD
Dude, Allan Walsh was literally at war with the analytics community for the better part of two years over the fact that Huberdeau was the most overrated player in the league.
Then he leaves a high octane system that wasn’t surrounded by other elite talent and turned into a pumpkin.
It’s 2024, evaluating players by their point totals is so 2016

To our most loyal members, As one of our most valued fans and a pivotal member of our Sabres family, Kevyn and I want to take this opportunity to write to you directly. This season has proven frustrating for us and we know it
has for you as well. Simply put, we are not where we want to be on the ice. A universal truth is that success is seldom linear. While we are not where we thought we would be at this point of the year, we also know that our goals and vision for the future are unchanged and we remain steadfast in our belief that this team will turn things around for Sabres hockey. Like you, we live and breathe Sabres hockey and are determined to build a playoff team. We both have been in your shoes as fans of this franchise and want nothing more for you than to experience the pride
of representing the blue and gold in our community. From an ownership perspective, I have put a great deal of thought and research into the fan experience over the last year and feel it is time to begin making gradual upgrades to our arena that will play a key role in enhancing your game day. We are thrilled about the many projects we have in
the pipeline, none bigger than a new videoboard that will be ready for the 2024-25 season. The goal of this project is to create a first-class experience without detracting from the game on the ice. As you'll see in the rendering below, the new videoboard achieves this while integrating state-of-the-art technology that is brand new to Mitsubishi, incredible resolution, and high functionality. I can't wait to see it hung in our arena and am confident it will be a positive addition
to the gameday atmosphere. In addition to the videoboard, we are also replacing the roof of KeyBank Center. While I understand this is less flashy, I felt it important you know the work and care going into all aspects of our organization. Along with business leadership, I will continue to evaluate areas to invest in the
arena with the fan experience in mind. I hope you have enjoyed improvements to our food and beverage offerings. While we will continue to work with our food partners on concessions, we are thankful for the fans that participated in food councils and gave us valued opinions that helped drive the positive change we saw this
season. Most of all, we want you to know how much our players and organization care about this community, this fan base, and most of all, the loyalty of our Season Ticket Members. We are excited for our players to be able to express their gratitude directly with the addition of a full-team event to the calendar for the 2024-25 season that will be exclusive for full season members. On top of the videoboard, a full-team event, and the roof, there are many other items we are looking forward to in the season to come, including an NHL tentpole event that will be announced in the coming
weeks. Our future is bright and we are honored to have you as part of the family.
Thank you for your continued support. Onward and upward.
Best,
Terry Pegula and Kevyn Adams - Boss34

The idea is that Tage is that shooter and Tuch is just decent all around. You said Mitts with Skinner, I think Mitts with Tage might be better.

So would you trade Jordan Greenway ? Guess Vegas has there eye on him and a Dman. - Buff36
Trade anyone for the right price.
This team needs a top 4 defenseman more than anything else.
Greenway's play the last month or so has been his best.
Hopefully Adams isnt interested in draft picks. How about Korczak? |

Huberdeau wasn’t “declining” when the trade was made. And Tkachuk was only available because he wasn’t going to re-sign with Calgary, they had to trade him. That situation is pretty much a one off, and doesn’t really seem comparable to Skinner’s situation. - Ratsreign
Skinner is a better player now than Huberdeau was at the time of the trade.
Skinner being signed for $9M for three years (even with an additional caveat that the Sabres may withhold a portion of his salary) is infinitely better then trading for Huberdeau knowing you would have to give him term and $$$$ to resign there to begin with.

Don't think Donnie has the guts to reduce Skinner's role. Hope that email meant he's being fired.

Not a huge fallout in offensive talent on that Calgary team. He was fifth in points last season. He is a part of that crumbling team. No excuse for him. - DirtyDan
Okay but that’s NOW and NOT AT THE TIME OF THE TRADE.
You can’t just rewrite history to fit your narrative. Pegulaville yet again spoke a complete lie that he made up when he said Florida traded an “already declining Huberdeau” for Tkachuck and used it as an example for moving Skinner.
It simply wasn’t true and the trade did come out of nowhere. There was no “declining” Huberdeau, he had a year left on his contract and was coming off a huge year.
That’s not decline. That’s a player being traded at his peak for a player who was looking like he was never going to. They gambled and it payed off huge.
Let’s stop making stuff up please. |

Amazing thing about the usage of analytics is that you can foresee a huge talent drop off when the player in question hardly impacts the game at all and collects assists by the bushel because he was playing with elite talent.
The decline of Huberdeau was evident for a couple of years prior to the trade, even Bill (frank)ing Zito saw it and made one of the best trades of this decade.
So yes, when you look beyond the box score, you would have seen a player that was running on fumes.
Can’t believe I even satisfied you by giving the time of day to begin with.
Back to ignoring you like I’ve been doing for months now |

The Buffalo Sabres have announced renovations to KeyBank Center for the 2024-25 season, including a state-of-the-art videoboard and a new roof to the arena.
The 27-foot-by-43-foot videoboard utilizes the latest technology from Mitsubishi Electric. The screen size will roughly double that of the current videoboard inside KeyBank Center with upgrades in resolution and functionality.
Other videoboard features include four fully digital corner panels as well as two screens on the board’s underbelly to provide additional angles for fans in the lower rows.

The team met with multiple suppliers and studied videoboards throughout the NHL to identify a model suitable for KeyBank Center.
“From an ownership perspective, I have put a great deal of thought and research into the fan experience over the last year and feel it is time to begin making gradual upgrades to our arena that will play a key role in enhancing game day for our fans,” Sabres owner Terry Pegula said. “We are thrilled about the many projects we have in the pipeline, none bigger than a new videoboard that will be ready for the 2024-25 season.
“Along with business leadership, I will continue to evaluate areas to invest in the arena with the fan experience in mind.”
The Sabres have hired Pike Construction Services, a company founded and operated in Western New York, to oversee the installation of the new roof at KeyBank Center. - Boss34
I don't know why he's only looked at the fan experience over the last year. It's been garbage for the last decade. About time there's a new scoreboard. Need to update the sound system too, among other t.hings

Yeah, for sure. Although I think a new sound system is part of the upgrade, just not mentioned in the letter if I’m not mistaken.
The new roof is going to be costly , with zero upgrade in fan experience |

Yeah, may just be rumors, but after he smacked that girl at the club, I've been told Kim went off. She already didn't like him, as he had hit on Jessica at some point, but after that she demanded he be traded post haste. |
