I answered your question in my response, obviously you aren't reading everything - Buff36
So if Donny doesn't hold the players responsible then how will they learn from their mistakes?
So when UPL gets hit and no one does anything about it why would they knowing Donny doesn't care what they do.
Now, Ruff, Ted Nolan or Torts would bench that player for not sticking up for their teammates thus holding the player responsible for their actions.
If Donny doesn't teach them to stick up for each other how do they know to do it
IF you were the coach and UPL got hit would you tell the players to go after that guy?
By your responses I would say yes, you wouldn't allow an opposing player to hit UPL and go unpunished by our team would you. Yet you don't think its the coaches responsibility to provide a "code of ethics" that includes sticking up for each other? |

Correlation does not imply causation.
Peterka has had very fortunate shooting luck all season. He was due for a dry spell whether it was with Krebs or anyone else.
The line had a 61 xgf% coming into tonight and Krebs had the game winning primary the other night and his effort led to the GWG against Columbus last week.
We get it, you hate Krebs.
Give that line 20 more games and a larger sample size and we’ll see the results - Swedish_Jesus
Mostly the Krebs discourse. I actually think he’s an easy player to route for.
But the incessant need to make him something he isn’t and then having to read 800 tweets every time he makes a nice pass is nauseating
And Peterka has been invisible for a lot of these 6 games. Benson and Krebs have been better
Krebs has 3 goals man. 3. Three. Tres. 3 goals. It’s game 60. And it’s not like he has 25 assists or hell even 15.
He’s getting PP time, he’s getting talented wingers. No goals. 1 point. |

The fanbase almost gave up on Tage because he didn’t work in a Kreuger system playing most of his minutes with Sobotka.
99% of the same fanbase gave up on Mittelstadt cause he was generating next to no offence playing with Asplund and Olofsson.
After seeing those two players flourish when put in a better situation, can you blame the fan base for wanting to see Krebs in anything other then a shutdown/checking role with linemates who don’t have stones for hands ?
Whether they keep Krebs, or use him as a trade piece, him becoming a 50-60 point middle 6 guy would not shock me to say the least.

6 games, and the line has been generating offence at 5v5. Heck they may be our best 5v5 line in total since put together.
They sucked tonight, it happens.
This was the first game in I can’t remember how long where Skinner-Tage-Tuch didn’t get their teeth kicked in at even strength and all k hear about is the franking Krebs line.
You know what experiment hasn’t worked ? The Greenway-Mitts-Cozens line.
A line mixup is probably needed in the middle 6 to begin with, but Krebs has absolutely deserved an opportunity to play with anyone other than Zemgus (frank)ing Girgensons.

What does learning from there mistakes have anything to do with a player going to the net and getting a Dirty goal, this again has nothing to do with the Conversation. If I was a player I shouldn't need my Coach to tell me to go after that player. This is the NHL not Jr. Hockey |

So you are too stupid to get it and thats ok.
So if you were making 9 million dollars and you dont go in the corner and the coach doesn't hold you responsible why would you risk getting hurt going into the corner?
Why would you have to go in the corner when you are making 9 million dollars? You admit that the coach doesn't care if you go in the corner to get the puck so why bother?
You are too stupid to get that there is 20 people all playing for themselves first. The coach doesn't care what the 20 guys do because the coach doesn't hold them responsible.
Its the coaches job to get those 20 guys to play for each other but if you are making 5, 6, 7, 8 million dollars why would I bother risking myself getting hurt for the team?
If my goalie gets hurt what do I care? I still get my 9 million dollars and no one is going to bench me or hold me responsible so I am golden.
You are dumb as rocks and you will never get it.
Go listen to Mathew Tkachuk interview from today maybe that will get through your low IQ brain |

53.9% now. 3 GF 3 GA.
No shock, tough for them on the road against good teams.
Cozens, Mitts, Greenway are 31.5% 2-2
Is this middle 6 working? 5 GF 5 GA, sub 50% xG, not especially.

Mathew Tkachuk interview - Guys just want to win, they don't care about getting points or if they score a goal, they just want to win as a team.

Saw that, numbers take a minute.
They aren't scoring, as a team. Take away the game against the MIA Kings, and it's been an ugly month.
Other issue is Kreb's line is being heavily sheltered and Cozen's line is picking up that slack. |

I am dumd as Rocks, OK you bring things into a Conversation that have nothing to do with what was said. This whole thing started because of him not pulling his goalie and me coming back saying he would be blamed if they scored for doing it to early. I never once said they didn't need a new Coach. And toughness isn't Coached into you or being Soft that is who you are. These players were scouted and drafted for who they are.
Get what you Dippoop that these players were drafted knowing what they already were SOFT. Oh my God what a F@cking joke this is. Again the Players deserve as much as the blame as the Coach. |

Panthers radio guys...
“FL has dumped the puck in the most in the NHL, Buffalo has dumped it in the fewest times.”
“Whenever I see #89 for the Sabres I still think of Alexander Mogilny...” - Ratsreign
This is just my own personal taste, but I'd rather take a dump then watch a team play dump and chase most of the game.
High end, constant rush chances are way more entertaining. |

On the penalty to Tkachuk, when the fla player touched the puck he flipped it at Girgs. Little sh!t like that is obvious. - steve5569
It sickens me, but it's what it takes to WIN.
MacKinnon is a prime example.
Giant bumhole, miserable personality, but again, what it takes to win apparently. |

We will probably find out he was hurt. Since when does Granato hold vets responsible for their actions? - sabresfan69
What the (frank) is Granato attempting to say with the word salad below?
Trying not to bash an obviously terrible veteran player that he benched for 2/3 of the game?
>>> Don Granato on the decision to bench Erik Johnson after the first period.
'He obviously is not feeling his normal self. We’ll leave it at that. Challenging, but not himself right now."
Added that Johnson is healthy enough to play.

Everyone shares in the blame, from players to coaches to management, but how many former Sabres players do you need to see playing with a greater compete level on other teams before realizing the underlying real issue is coaching and management? |

Speaking of not scoring as a team:
>>> I was letting it go because they were winning but it should probably be addressed they’re generating very little again at 5v5.
Last 10 games they’ve had over a 2 full game 5v5 xGF twice in EH’s model and only once in the last 5.
Plus side is quality against is down I suppose

If that’s a minor penalty, Brind’Amour would have the Canes playing short handed all night.
UPL should get to cage match every official after the game if the 3rd goal is the deciding factor - Swedish_Jesus
Amen to the above.
The bench minor call was a total joke, along with much of the officiating last night.
>>> Giving a bench minor late in a game like that is insane, especially with the refs making two wrong calls against the Sabres prior to that. Like you have to give the coach some leeway to get angry if you keep messing up your job

>>> Sheldon Keefe just got ejected in Toronto. Stripes there apparently having as bad a night as in Florida. The retirements among the NHL officiating corps have seriously impacted the quality. We’ve seen some absolutely brutal stuff this year.

What! I never said the Coach didn't Care, where did I say that. As a Hockey player I shouldn't have to have my Coach tell me to go after someone, that's F@cking Idiotic if you believe that, it shouldn't take my Coach for me to care about my Teammates. If I have never in my Career been a physical Force of willing to do that, or play that style. Then I am sure my Coach or GM knows that because they scouted me or got info from the Analytics on Me. Having your Goalie ran and doing Nothing about it has nothing to do with Coaching or fixing mistakes, it has to do with you being a wussy. You were probably a Big wussy on the Ice the way you Talk. Did your Coach have to Hold your hand through it. |

Ok,, never said it wasn't Coaching in some aspects. I said the soft Team was built by Adams who he Drafted or players he signed. I should not need a coach to tell me to stick up for my Teammates, I shouldn't need a coach by know teaching me how to go to the Dirty areas to score a goal. That should be in my DNA already by the time I get to the NHL or if it isn't, the player has to be willing to change to be that player, your Coach isn't gonna change that. I was calling for changes months ago. Like I said the players carry the blame just like the coach and GM |
