Anybody arguing this teams "toughness" does not understand hockey. You don't have to drop the gloves to be tough. They do not look like they care, either for the team itself or one another. Tage got worked over in a battle and never fought again. Cozens will probably never fight again either, although he still plays tough. It's not about fighting, it's about not having to fight because the other guys make their own business decisions. We have literally nobody out there that the other team has to worry about.

Was just going to say, we need our Varada. We need a guy who can take some of the onus off of guys like Tuch or Cozens, who really shouldn't be playing that type of game.

36 is right, Korczak is becoming more and more enticing as time goes on.

This is just my own personal taste, but I'd rather take a dump then watch a team play dump and chase most of the game.

High end, constant rush chances are way more entertaining.

I don’t disagree, the Panthers president trophy team was high octane fun...until TB put their own skill aside and focused on snuffing out the Panthers offense first. They smacked high-powered FL offense right out of the playoffs. (after FL struggled getting past the Caps in the previous round).
Teams have to be able to play more than one way. Panthers can still be very dangerous off the rush, but now they pick their spots. Watching them dump and chase isn’t too boring, either, as they forecheck like mad dogs and create havoc for the opponents defenders.

Peyton Krebs is a 4th line center on a good team. That’s my entire and only point.

He has 1 freaking assist in 6 games playing with two of our more talented young forwards. 3 goals this entire season.

Peterka went from 6 points in the previous 6 games to 1 assist in 6 games with Krebs.

If you’re cool just always blaming everything else for why Krebs linemates never score go ahead.

6 games, and the line has been generating offence at 5v5. Heck they may be our best 5v5 line in total since put together.

They sucked tonight, it happens.

This was the first game in I can’t remember how long where Skinner-Tage-Tuch didn’t get their teeth kicked in at even strength and all k hear about is the franking Krebs line.

You know what experiment hasn’t worked ? The Greenway-Mitts-Cozens line.

A line mixup is probably needed in the middle 6 to begin with, but Krebs has absolutely deserved an opportunity to play with anyone other than Zemgus (frank)ing Girgensons.

I agree with this statement.

I don't think our coaching is fantastic, but our roster building from the GM is far more flawed. Keeping Okposo and Girgs was like the Bills keep Hamlin. They just didn't have the guts to walk away and it's costing them.

The problem is, they aren’t physically tough, nor are they mentally tough, their skill isn’t tough to play against, their system isn’t tough to play against and they are psychologically weak.

Krebs has been a top 5 forward since January in terms of underlyings.

He has put in the work and improved, and has shown well since he has moved up

If he has some perceived value, let’s take advantage of it. I really liked him going into this season and was hoping for a jump to 12-15 goals .

Krebs is a very good hockey player that has been diminished, put into a demoralizing role for almost 2 years with the Sabres. Okposo was unjustifiably elevated to a top 6 role and first unit PP multiple times over the past 2 years. Very hard to compare the 2.
Krebs has a good hockey IQ, is one of the better skaters on the team, is scrappy, his compete level is high.
His 3x the player Okposo is
