No, they need to play him 23 minutes a game and actually play as a team.
1st line: 16-20 mins
2nd line: 14-18 mins
3rd line: 12-16 mins
4th line: 8-12 mins
1st pair: 18-24 mins
2nd pair: 16-20 mins
3rd pair: 14-18 mins
Rotate goalies 2:1
This isn’t hard. - Jet Jaguar BD
Really, thanks for explaining that to me. I would think if they trusted someone else he would be playing less. |

Dahlins skating alone takes him out of top 5 IMO, not to mention the 5 turnovers a game - lulags
You mean the player that just skated the most miles in a game not even a week ago ?
He’s a top 10 d-man at worst.
Find a top 4 RHD and a coach other then Marty Wilford and the guy would be top 5 without a doubt |

Guys averaging 30min a game, Sabres Need to get him some help. - Buff36
Don’t disagree at all. The help he needs does not stop there. He needs a sold partner, significant coaching, discipline when making erroneous mistakes, skating coaching (his foot speed is terrible) |

This is literally the physical equivalent of blowing hot air.
He is going to burn out.
Ever heard the saying “slow and steady wins the race”? Sometimes you don’t need to go 100mph. Or travel 100 miles.
You have the puck, you are the puck. Make them come to you. Then make them look like a fool.
He doesn’t. He’s all flash and no substance. He is file, not style. He’s a semi-colon when you need an ellipsis…

Meaningless stat. How many giveaways that game? How many turnovers? He’s highly turnover prone on the PP as well, which is a huge problem |

He's the 2nd Best skater on this Team, he can't go full bore every F@cking shift with as much as he plays. The Sabres have been horrible in Dahlin's Development. Starting Power out the same way. If you won't get Dahlin the proper partner, atleast get Power one. Dahlin has figured this Sh!t out basically alone. Just Horrible how the Sabres have been with him, with the proper development I think he would be the Best Dman in the League right know or close to it. |

I totally disagree. The reason he gets caught so often is his slow foot speed, but that can be coached.
JJ, Krebs, Tuch, Joker, R Johnson are better skaters. Quicker edges and foot speed.
He’s been allowed to fail because of improper coaching |

That's cool, I think Ryan Johnson is Number 1. It's not just about foot speed. And don't know how you think they have Quicker Edges the way Dahlin can walk a the Line. It's crossovers, start and stops. So much more than Foot Speed. IMO |

Dahlin has never reached his potential...yet...who knows if he ever will. Paying him $11mm was very dumb.
How many top 10 players rely on their coach and partner to reach and maintain elite play?
Dahlin's IQ is a big ? as well as his inability to create separation with his skating.
Like every player on the team, he is mismanaged and has taken on the new Eichel role of savior....which is going to fail.

The entire organization lacks compete...making their talent meaningless...resulting in a plan dependent on talent, worthless. |

Skinner
Dahlin
Power
R Johnson
All great on their edges but all of them lack strong acceleration to create space. The team is not fast, for a team built up to rely on speed and talent.

Big problem in a nutshell. The teams around us keep getting faster too.
We are not tenacious enough to be a slow team

I disagree with that, believe they are a very fast Team. When they use it right |

Effort is a big problem.
I agree with your statement as it pertains to some players. Tuch comes to mind. He might be one of the best / fastest skaters when he puts his mind to it. Effort from him is 50/50 at best.
The players we have who are average speed wise.
Mitts
Quinn
Skinner
Tage
Power
Samuelsson
Dahlin
Benson
Clifton
Robinson
Slightly above average
JJ
Joker
Bryson
Johnson
Girgensons
Tuch
Below average
Okposo

All of them do.
Makar, who everyone adores, has an incredible partner in Toews.
Is Makar as good without Toews.
(frank) no is the answer. |

A Brady Tkachuk trade proposal courtesy of Mr. Michael Pachla

There is a zero percent chance Chandler Stephenson is accepting a 3 year deal at $4M per from Buffalo.
No shot at that happening. |

Just putting stuff out there to look at! Don't trust the Sabres or Adams to do anything - Buff36
It's a move that if they were going to make it, should've been done this past offseason to get 2 full seasons of value out of him.
Maybe they tried, and the following was the response?
>>> Contract armed with a twelve team no-trade list. |

I will say this on Dahlin
he was labeled the best d man since bobby orr when he was drafted
he is much closer to phil housley than orr with housley being a much better skater |
