Goalies are voodoo was mentioned every day last summer. Still true, even when you feel better about what they have.
Let it play out on the ice....and a viable option if Levi isn't ready. - Lunaion
Levi is still pretty inconsistent at this point, last 2 out of 3 games started he had a 4.0 Gaa or higher and a Save % under 890 with a good game in the middle. |

For backups its a crap shoot. IF we're signing a backup it best not be for more than a 1 year deal.
Im putting it at 95% UPL/Levi is the tandem next year. - DirtyDan
They don't have another G in the system, so a given that they sign/extend/acquire 2.
I don't think they'll hard block Levi either, so another Tokarski + Cooley.

Trust me, it really does.
I'd be asleep at the wheel playing with those morons.
I don't get not having RyJo there.. did they not play tg in College.. Already chemistry. Both can learn/grow together.
Better than Erik backin his a$$ into Power and nullifying him on half the plays. - DirtyDan
EJ is definitely a big negative, so I'll reserve judgment. But a d partner doesn't make you try harder, as a pro, that should be constant. I would understand his slump this year if he was running around and just out of position. Unfortunately he's in position a lot and not making the right play. |

Good is subjective.
Peyton Krebs being “good” and Mitts being “good” are two different versions of good.
Krebs is a good 11/12 forward. Mitts is a good 4-6 forward.

Right! Just play the hot hand. Both will be good if not great.
50/30 split next year seems like the likely scenario. - DirtyDan
I would grab someone like jones, wedgewood or reimer on a 1 year deal in case levi is not ready or for injury protection |

Pierre LeBrun
@PierreVLeBrun
Regarding the Stars, Tyler Seguin is expected back before the playoffs so his $9.85M AAV likely not available before the trade deadline; Evgeni Dadonov ($2.25M AAV) may not return before the playoffs, but Stars already using his LTI space so that doesn't really factor, either |

Ah gotcha, with Krebs, that was a future change. Dahlin certainly hasn't reached top10 status, neither has Tage. As with Krebs, I just think those things are on the horizon. |

Dahlin is certainly top 10.
He’s top 10 in points while having some of the worst puck luck in the league meanwhile on a PP that is downright awful despite him being one of the better PP QB’s in the league.
The problem is everything outside of Dahlin |

Until Janauary of last year we didn’t even know if Mitts was an NHL forward. Now we’re wondering if he’ll cost $6M-$7M on his next contract.
Good underlings lead to good results.
I remember when people tried telling me Quinn had a rough first half of his rookie season cause he wasn’t getting points with solid underlyings. The second he got elevated in the lineup, the rest was history.

Lol, Quinn had Krebs current goal and point total last year by like game 15.
The point isn't that Krebs can't be useful, it's that it has to turn into goals at some point.
Mitts, Quinn etc had better results scoring early on and it isn't remotely close |

Sabres should be all over the Hurricanes for Necas. - QuinnFan
Necas protected next deal is either 3 years at $6M per or 7 years at $7.3M per.
Still want him? |

While I agree he's part of the solution, I don't think he's quite top10 yet. He's on the cusp. Most rankings I see have him pretty well removed from the top10 as well, despite me not agreeing with some of the rankings entirely.

I did try a ranking with a buddy at one point and had him around 12-13. |
