I wouldn't be shocked if they go the rest of the season with just 3 Assistants without anyone wearing the "C". And with 19 games left and the playoffs out of reach, it's probably fine.
If they give Girgensons the "C", it's a clear sign that they have no idea what winning hockey looks like, nor do they care to learn. Actually, I stand corrected. Giving Okposo the "C" was the clear sign. This would just be the sign that this team learned nothing. - buffalofan19
Maybe they can do the Nancy boy thing where they “rotate” captains because they aren’t man enough to actually. Step up and be a man among boys and lead this sad sack no nut team.
Ps the defeated wimp on the right was Kevyn when he actually had hair.

Unfortunately, it's really hard to get rid of an owner unless he did something criminal or gets caught saying something racist. Said owner could accidentally luck into hiring someone competent to run the show. One can dream. - buffalofan19
We should send one of the coke aficionados that sniff coke on here to go and plant some white powder in the owners suite. |

Yeah, Girgensons is the reason we’re in 24th place.
It’s starts at the top with pegula , Adams , Donnie, that’s why we’re not a playoff team - Boss34
Actually, yes.
Yes because that Latvian rust bucket was supposed to be the “next captain” and take over for the worlds biggest Mangina Gaustad who couldn’t stick up for his best friend bc he was a puzzy to face Lucic.
Then we get the 2nd biggest joke of an Allstar vote (other than John Scott) because our team sucked so bad we only had little Z to send.
That we keep an obviously useless chode around because the Lame Azz GM at the time didn’t want to whiff on two draft picks (the Russian loser who sucked) in the same draft
Then we keep this stone handed flopper around because there are no good players to replace him out of the over 800 nhl players in the league somehow.
Don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.

28 is a career loser here who adams sounds like he plans on resigning and his logic behind it could not be any further from the truth
Pegula is 100% a problem he has been for awhile now. Not being willing to retain is a massive problem - ieetbred
It’s because 28 lameo makes Adam look good when you compare failed nhl careers. |

I've come to the dark side. I stepped away for quite a while. I couldn't stand the constant negativity in here. I was always one to try and look on the bright side or find the positive in situations. But I'm popping in to vent...
This organization has failed. Terry Pegula has failed. Kevyn Adams has failed. Don "Krueger" Granato has failed. His crappy assistants have failed, miserably. The players have, for the most part, failed.
This team was ONE (frank)ing point away from the playoffs last year. One lousy point. They scored goals in bunches. However, that ridiculous shooting pct wasn't sustainable, and Adams and his analytics cronies should've known that. They were supposed to make the playoffs this year. But, instead of anticipating that players were going to come back down to earth, and giving them enough help to push them over the hump, they decide that the best course of action was to:
1) arrogantly change their system to a defensive one and then wonder why half the team can't adapt to it.
2) force-feed a young goalie to the wolves before he is ready, then realizing it too late to the point where, when you DO finally send him to the AHL (where he should have been the entire year), you've left yourself with a backup (Comrie) who has zero business playing in the NHL.
3) bring back the band on the 4th line and give them more ice time than your offensive players some nights, especially when you're down a goal or two.
4) continue to push a player into the top 6 who has ZERO business being there (Greenway).
5) do nothing about the gaping hole where Quinn was supposed to be (you knew going into the season, Kev-O!).
6) sign a slow, aging defenseman who, rumor has it, thinks he should get a pass for crappy play.
7) bungle the Victor Olofsson situation to the point where he became untradeable.
8) fail to read the room regarding Zemgus Girgensons and all but announce his contract extension today, calling him "vital to the fabric of this team" - a team that has either underachieved or just plain bottomed out year after year after year with Girgensons as a part of it.
9) FINALLY make a ballsy hockey trade, but your timing SUCKS, and only shows your inability (or just plain REFUSAL) to deal prospects and/or picks to help improve this team by actually ADDING to the talent you already have. Instead you spin your wheels and trade your leading scorer, thus depleting an already underachieving (or is it, "coming back down to earth") top 6. (yes, I realize that they weren't going to pay Mitts, but deal some of these "top" prospects/picks for that defenseman you were after, then).
10) fail to recognize how bad the coaching is on this team, right down to the assistants (and their terrible coaching of the PP and PK), and even allowing Peca to leave.
11) expect (or at least insult us by trying to spin it that) Krebs and/or unproven kids will make up for Mitts' production, whether it be the rest of this year or next 😂
Thank God for UPL, or this team might be flirting with a bottom 3 finish. It's clear that this d!ckhead isn't going anywhere, so me, now of waning faith, has to hope that the light has gone on in his head and hope he does something of significance this summer and actually go get some players who can actually get this team to the playoffs and STAY THERE. And THEN, actually ADD to the team at the deadline (here's me, holding my breath 😂😂😂).
But, now I'm hearing that he was in hot pursuit of Logan (frank)ing Couture?! Are you kidding?! The guy has played 6 games all season and is now reported as being DONE FOR THE YEAR.
And so am I.

Actions speak louder than words. The Mittelstadt trade was a step in the right direction in terms of an admission external additions need to be made.
There is a sense of urgency that wasn’t present in prior years.
They underestimated the team they had last year, overestimated the team they had this year.
Adams even admitted in his press conference he was looking to add a veteran forward but that at this time of year with teams chasing the playoffs that it wasn’t attainable.
Having Tomas Hertl on the books till he’s 37 wasn’t the answer either.
I’m not buying Fitz saying we were in on Couture - Swedish_Jesus
Adams has a continuous string of excuses why he doesn't do things or get things done.
His nonsensical bullpoop reasoning for not retaining on contracts is another example.
Anybody still buying his bullpoop is a buffoon. |

Thoughts of the Day! - Buff36
Thought of the day… why even employ an analytics team within the organization if the coach isn’t going to utilize them and the GM thinks emotion trumps analytics. Ventura must feel useless
I knew this team was backwards, rudderless, but yesterday cemented how absolutely dysfunctional this organization is. It is beyond embarrassing.
Has Peter’s said anything about yesterday? He’s been pretty good with the rants as of late

Like backyard bbqs, and dinner at the bosses. Maybe a nice board game night. How about a bonding trip at the lake house. That’ll make for better hockey.

This outcome was obvious in June 2023.
Adams 3 biggest organizational fumbles
1) Drafting 3 similar players in the 1st round of 22'
2) Extending Granato prematurely
3) Resigned Okposo and Girgs last summer.
There are endless other failures that began dating back to day 1 with Adams as the GM, today is good day to get them all out on the table. The list above IMO are the driving factors that led to this seasons failure. |

Not helping your Defense last year in November and December when they were ravaged by injuries. Missing your GM signal at the TDL last year that this Team with the right acquisitions could make the playoffs. Doing nothing in the Offseason except give free Fluffs every Sunday at the BBQ. Instead of using your plethora of assets and cap space to go and find success you shoved it back up Terry's A$$ after leaving for Vacation July 10th |
