They always do. Always.
Sabres scored 4 special teams goal’s tonight. Vegas scored 1.
Take all of them away and Sabres still win by multiple goals - sbroads24
Tampa is a bottom 5 team at even strength this year.
How are they in a wild card spot ? |

Unfortunately, you don't get to surgically apply the extra goals you'd like to have scored to where they'd help the most...and ignore that every team would like to do something selective like this.

The Special teams finally shows a pulse 10 games ago.
The Sabres are 7-3 in their last 10.
3 of those games went past 60 minutes, and the teams inability to get games passed regulation has been a huge part of the reason why they are 10 points out.
They have more regulation wins than Detroit, they have the exact same amount of regulation wins as Toronto.
It’s clear as day lol

If you want to think it’s just special teams go ahead.
Granato has been bad for a lot of this year but what he’s absolutely been right about is the teams psyche and mentality needed to improve.
They’d usually fall apart after giving up a 2-0 lead. Tonight they decided to just put the gas on and crush Vegas in the third.

So, in a game where Okposo, Girgensons both score, Robinson has 2 assists…
Can we please stop pretending Krebs doesn’t suck. |

How did they get the second goal to go up 2-0 ?
Had Cozens not scored short handed and Vegas tied the game at 1-1 and Karlsson’s goal would have led to a 2-1 lead in the second period, would the momentum shift have changed the entire complexion of the game ?
I’ll hang up and listen. |

It's a shame 39, this could have been a different year with a couple better additions to the roster and a better Special Teams Coach. The bad thing is that some things a few talked about during the Offseason have really played a big part in the bad season.
Adams has to realize and open his Eyes on how close this Team is. I know I say it a lot, but he needs to find his finishing pieces to the Puzzle. |

Have a Question for you ?
Do you think what happened in the first few Months of the Season was on Donnie. Or players not taking there training and TC seriously enough last offseason. I believe we need a new Coaching Staff, atleast Assistants but the more I watch the more I believe it's roster set up and Compete Level.

I must say last Night was a pretty good showing on what Speed and Pressure can do. Was saying all Offseason I wanted the Sabres to incorporate that into a Defensive Game that can Lead to Offense. When done right it just causes havoc for the other teams D and Forwards in there zone. The 3rd period was a masterpiece of it. |

>>> You’re also learning about this team every day and you’re probably not in the position to be wanting to trade guys for picks at this point. So as you approach another deadline, what do you think this team needs the most on the ice?
>>> The other part that’s worth mentioning is I definitely had conversations with teams about players that were highly publicized that could be traded or will be traded. Some of those guys had trade protection or were getting the opportunity to pick and choose where they were going to go and they didn’t want to come here. That is the reality when you’re a .500 team from where we are right now.
Better to not mention the above at all Kevyn.
>>> I understand the question because I’m sure a lot of people say, especially when Dahlin plays so well with Samuelsson, find someone for Owen.
The above is not true, and the numbers back that up.
>>> For me, if there’s the right mix, we definitely want our bottom six especially to have an identity, whether it’s competitiveness, speed, killing penalties, a hard, direct approach, physical.
Sure doesn't seem like they planned for their bottom 6 to have an identity. |

He should stop talking about being able to identify top players that don't want to play in Buffalo.
We all know there's truth to that, but it's his job to convince those players to join the Sabres. There are also plenty of good players who aren't the top of the league, who would sign with Buffalo to get an opportunity they may not get elsewhere. Basically, stop settling for dogpoop via the excuse of nobody good wants to be here, so we only get to choose from the poop pile, because that's not true. |

There's decent Dman that could be available Trade wise that don't have protection or say either, just not your Name Guys. I mean other than the Lollipop crew, does anyone believe the Bullsh!t he slings anymore. |

His words combined with his actions would make you believe that the only option via free agency or trades is mediocre to bad players, which is of course, total bullpoop.
If that is actually true, which it isn't, then don't just settle for whoever says yes.
Instead, don't bring anyone in that isn't up to par from your player evaluations, and just promote young players.
Instead of Clifton and Erik Johnson, just play Ryan Johnson. |

Nick Jensen-has No protection
Cody Ceci- who people don't seem to like, but the guy is a solid Top 4 guy has No protection.
Nick Seeler- FA and could be a decent partner with Ryan Johnson and bring some toughness back there.
That's just of the Top of my Head, probably make a decent list of Forwards and Dman who could probably be had if our GM had any Walnuts. |

So I like to study Dman and such, think everyone knows that. The more I watch Ryan Johnson and his explosive skating and his passing is pretty good. He looks like he could be more than just a Defensive D with the Right partner. He IMO looks to be holding back a bit because of the Sh!tty partners he's had. I think he's the Best skater on the Team and with a better partner could step his Offense up. |

It’s amazing how you try these mic drop lines when you prove my point for me
The Sabres go up 1-0 on an EV goal from Skinner
Then the teams trade ST goals.
Take those ST goals out and it’s still a 1 goal lead by the Sabres and Vegas ties it 1-1 and the Sabres still win by multiple goals
You love to pick and choose what ST goals matter |

Ryan Johnson is also bigger and more physical then I expected he would be.
What a blessing that he for some reason decided to sign with the Sabres. |

Well I was pretty sure he was gonna for awhile and then some stupid people got in his Head! We are very Lucky, cause Adams almost lost him at the End. |
