I wouldn't be shocked if they go the rest of the season with just 3 Assistants without anyone wearing the "C". And with 19 games left and the playoffs out of reach, it's probably fine.

If they give Girgensons the "C", it's a clear sign that they have no idea what winning hockey looks like, nor do they care to learn. Actually, I stand corrected. Giving Okposo the "C" was the clear sign. This would just be the sign that this team learned nothing.

Unfortunately, it's really hard to get rid of an owner unless he did something criminal or gets caught saying something racist. Said owner could accidentally luck into hiring someone competent to run the show. One can dream.
