Eberle would have been a great fit for 2 years.

If the Hawks aren't contenders in 25/26 they should build up some assets to trade at the deadline. Next year there's Donato, Hall and AA. In 25/26 there is D!ckinson, Foligno, Mrazek, and Murphy.

While this year will be a quiet TDL, the next 2 could be busy.

I am not sure Kyle needs more picks.
It is actually interesting how almost any traded 2024 pick doesn’t jump in front of the hawks and having 6 in the top 67 is quite impressive, giving them shots at various levels to add to the prospect pool. They basically can decide when the step up to the mic with each pick if they are going to go long term with guys that need time but seem to have it, over simply taking established junior scorers.

I miss the days of JJ and co just spewing made up rumors all trade deadline day.

Such good entertainment.
