Had to be something with Katchouk that displeased the coaching staff or front office. He's no world beater on ice but useful. I would have waived others on this roster b4 him.

(He and Raddysh were both on that 2018 Canada WJ team).

I hate to speculate, however something is rotten in Denmark. He was definitely useful and very decent on the PK. I’d take him over a few forwards on the current roster for sure.

A little surprised noone else was moved at the deadline but it was a lot of low prices for guys this year.

I do think Chicago will be players in free agency to try to give Bedard some more guys to play with.

KD did give up 2 contracts without taking on any new ones so we are sitting at 43/50 which gives KD room for off-season signings and/ or trades.

There is definitely something going on there and does not fit into the Hawk´s plan in cleaning up the team image.

Am I the only one who listened to KD’s press conference? He was waived so that he could be eligible to be sent to Rockford for the playoffs. A paper transaction (as was Sanford, Phillips and Crevier). This is the second time he’s been waived and/or sent down this season.

LR has said several times that Boris has a bad habit of being selfish, taking himself out of plays and not being consistent.

Ottawa picked him up and he’ll now toil with them for the rest of the year and get released. I really don’t get the appeal with this guy.

Because he showed more offensive ability than 5 or 6 of the forwards still left on the team ?

So he’s the tallest “little person”. He wasn’t coming back to this team after this year anyway. He’s a 3 year older Reichel without the potential. He wasn’t able to carve out a role on this team when all he had to do is be consistent. On to the next….

I like Katchouk too, he played the game with energy and drive. But he brought zero offense. I’d rather have him on the 4th line that most of the other guys, but it won’t make much a difference either way.

There’s no huge appeal, Katchouk is just another fourth liner, but to my eyes, he just brings more to the table than say Reese Johnson, as Johnson is a liability when on the ice. For those that say Johnson brings grit, I’m still waiting for him to win a board battle.

99% chance you’ve got at most 19 more games of that guy too.

I was going to say more times than not he seems to be on the wrong side of the puck.
