Grimson has good insights, but not every play the Hawks make is NHL Tonight worthy

Is this the first Harry Potter reference on here ever? This Bedard kid’s a bit of a magician. |

Pretty low bar. There aren't too many color guys in the NHL worse than Pang.
If they pair Wiedman and Grimson together next year for TV, I'd be happy. |

I love Bedard’s old time celly. Just like Steve Larmer, he just acts like he’s scored before. |

Jones with four assists tonight. Blackwell with a hat trick. Soderblom played a great game I thought. He was completely blocked on the first goal. The third and fourth you have to give Blackhawk defensemen the primary assists. They gave the puck right to the Yotes goal scorers. Oh, Good-bye Zack Sanford. Welcome Mr. Slaggert! |

Whats up with the super annoying public address announcer at the hawks game announcing goal scores. Wow!!!! |

I'm not invested in wins and loses this yr but any time this group gets a win you gotta be thrilled for them. They give an honest effort that 95% of the time ain't good enough.
Is Soderblom on a 2 game win streak?!?!

I think I'd be okay with this guy, if Wiz and this analysis is on target. We need a another guy who can put the puck in the net.

When I saw Vosters & Chicken Stu were doing the broadcast, I immediately turned ESPN+ to the Washington feed.
If he was any good Nashville would have kept him... |

Yeah, me too.
He hasn't deserved the shillings, and he needs to have some good feelings about his play to start to walk those baby steps... |

Want to see some of the prospects LIvE in person?
The Icehogs have five more dates with the Wolves in March and early April: three at the Horizon Allstate Arena and two in Rockford. One of those games is a Sunday afternoon BTW
Last game Rolston was MiA possibly injured or scratched and Marcel sent to ECHL concurrent with Phillips and Crevier demotion |

I could not use this link either.
But might it be to the FC (Future Considerations website where the Athletic's Scott Wheeler worked before he got the paid gig...)
They used to give you nothing but now they have built a new platform that teases a lot of players and partial evaluations b/c they want you to buy access.
I might be totally wrong as to the site, but you certainly got me curious as to WHO was this 4- best goal scorer.
I just want to know who you / they are talking about dots, and I won't be around until tommorw night to see your answer. I have my Texas grandson,11, and grandauther, 6, at the Magic Kingdom all day tomorrow..
I think you will continue to see lots of hype b/c the the top end is a good one.
Just don't believe that Demidov is a top 4 pick. I watch a lot tape.
I have read more than one of these prospect evals on him, and they seem to be blind to a major deficit.
On the narrow North American ice, there is little separation gotten by forwards on defenders, so they have to curl, pivot quick turn when they are being neutralized to attempt to get free space to pass hold on to the puck whatever. This isn't some elusive skill a few nhl forwards have, b/c MOST guys in the top 9 roles do this one and over.
Demidov, when in this very same situation in Russia (where the bigger ice gives Demidov when possessing the puck more puck options) he continual goes in to a split...hie can only use part of his edging and it will retard him in the NHL game where it is crucial to go lateral before the checker rides you into the corner by getting loose by use of the outside edges, that split with a leg going EAST the other WEST ends the play each time.
I am not waiting for the Hawks to hire a skating instructor after they draft him. He uses his inside edging well, but when you draft top 4 in a draft like this you are not taking unpolished quick strike attackers if they a have warts this big.
So I am just hoping you mean someone else or you will have me concerned that Hawks may take him, and I will then be trying to call Kyle, and I hate getting screamed.
I am just putting my profile of him up:
Ivan
DEMIDOV
Under six foot Russian winger with good pace and strong creativity and makes plays using his feet and his ability to thread pucks with precision to teammates. Although he doesn't use his outside edges, relying on his inside edges which widens his stride far more than you want it to be. This will be a problem in the NHL where attackers are closely covered and must cut back a lot to gain separation. There is some creativity and game breaking skill, and shows a willingness to play in the dirty areas, and no one can question his compete or hockey IQ based on his play in the MHL. He got the call up to the KHL and started the season at SKA-St. Petersburg with Matvei Michkov as his centre. and wasn’t able at this juncture to win a spot, so was sent back to the MHL, and he was sidelined for more than a month with a knee injury. His position has been mostly as a LHRW, but his playmaking skills and strong forecheck has seen him at the centre position also. Seems very strong for his size/weight. |

I was asking Lou what if Demidov falls to the TB pick, do we strongly consider drafting a Russian around pick 20.

I keep expecting to see Vlasic and Korchinski to hit the rookie wall and all things considered they are playing really really well. Once we get a few more skilled faster forwards i think both of their assist numbers will go up. Both are very skilled defenseman.
98 is unbelievable, vision is incredible and if you have any gaps in your defense he's going to exploit them.
I know it's early but this is such a good start to the rebuild. |

These refs are great, Bedard covers a guy, player grabs his stick and high sticks himself in the face, Bedard goes to the box, hahaha
Nice to see the boys get a win tonight. |
